The hems of these were quite a challenge as the traditional way just doesn’t do it for velvet

I went down a long internet rabbit hole trying to find ways of hand hemming velvet without it showing on the front side and finally found a good method so that no stitching was visible once hung 😮‍💨

✂️Bay window cafe curtains in Taupe

Attached using simple tension rods, these are great for diffusing light and adding privacy
The fabric I’ve used for these is a 50% linen 50% polyester mix so you have the look of linen but with all the benefits of a manmade fibre - hard wearing, minimal creasing and no shrinkage when washed
