I find this action really insulting but it’s important to explain to our clients why….
We spend an enormous amount of time learning and perfecting our craft but we also invest as much time in researching the best solutions to solve your haircare issues.
We do this so that we can make your colour or cut look as fresh for as long as we can so you get exceptional value for money.
We pass this knowledge on to you free of charge as part of the experience you come to us for.
Our aim is always to make you feel incredible when you leave the salon but it’s important that we advise you on how to make that feeling last, so you keep getting those compliments from friends, family and sometimes even strangers.
Yes we earn a small 10% commission when you buy those products we recommended but the remainder helps our salons that you love coming to, remain clean, with state of the art equipment and they also help us continue our growth by supporting us through education.
When you photograph those recommended products and go home and buy them from Google or Look Fantastic to save yourself a pound or so… you make my industry weaker.
You know how hard it is at present to survive on the high street yet you choose to spend your money with companies that don’t care about your hair or your salon and actually they don’t even care about you.
All they care about is the bottom line and capturing your data to sell to somebody else!
So next time you go to photograph a product I have personally prescribed for you I’m gonna say NO!
And as embarrassing it may feel for both of us… now I hope you understand why x
