Perimenopausal hair change is real, common, and rarely talked about. If your hair has suddenly changed in your 40s, you're not imagining it.

We were lucky enough to have a stand at the fantastic conference recently and some of the most meaningful moments didn’t happen on stage. They happened quietly, at the edge of our stand.
So many of you came over to talk about hair loss. Some confidently, some nervously, some waiting until it was quiet to gently take a card. Whatever brought you over, we were so glad you did.
Hair loss is something far too many people carry in silence. It doesn’t have to be that way. We’re a doctor-led clinic, and whether you ask loudly or in a whisper….we’re here to help.
If something’s been on your mind, this is your gentle nudge. 💛 Link in bio to book a consultation.

"Wait and see" isn't safe for every type of hair loss. Some kinds are time-sensitive. If something has changed, get it properly assessed — early matters.
Post-baby hair loss grows back because your hormones stabilise. Perimenopause hair loss doesn't resolve the same way because your hormones are still fluctuating. Different cause, different timeline, different approach needed.
I lost my own hair during Covid and I have PCOS. I know what it feels like to watch your hair fall out and not know if it's going to stop. Most women's hair loss is treatable. But you need to know what type you have before you can fix it. Earlier is always better.

Excited to share that I’ll be speaking at the International Association of Trichologists Paris Conference 2026 this summer.
I’ll be presenting two lectures:
• HRT and Hair: Understanding Which Regimens Support Hair Health
• Hormonal Hair Loss in Women: What Clinicians and Trichologists Need to Know
Both sessions explore the complex relationship between hormones, hair biology, and patient care — essential knowledge for anyone working with female hair loss across all life stages.
If you’d like to learn more about trichology from myself and other leading experts in the field, come and join us in Paris.

If I had a pound for every woman who walked into my clinic with a drawer full of biotin, collagen, and "hair growth gummies"...and no idea why her hair was falling out....I'd have retired by now 🙃
Here's the thing: supplements only work if they're treating the actual cause of your hair loss.
Stress-related shedding, low ferritin, perimenopausal thinning and androgenetic alopecia all need different things. Most off-the-shelf supplements are formulated for the worried well — pretty packaging, vague claims, same shedding six months later.
Get a diagnosis first. It's the single most cost-effective thing you can do for your hair.
If perimenopause and hair loss is your story, I've made a free training that walks you through what's happening and what actually helps.

Telogen effluvium shows up 2-3 months after a trigger, which is why most women miss the link. Understanding the pattern is half the battle.
Hair changes can be one of the earliest signs of perimenopause, often showing up before hot flushes or irregular periods. If you're over 38 and noticing more shedding, a wider parting, or less volume, hormones could be the missing link. Comment TRAINING for my free video on perimenopause and hair loss.
Vitamin D receptors live inside your hair follicles — so yes, levels matter. UK winters make deficiency common. Test, don't guess.
