Today, we're looking more closely at injectables.

While the products may be familiar, the way they're used at Layer 4 is very different. At this depth, the goal is not to restore bone, but to support the deeper structures that help maintain facial shape and position.

The right treatment is never just about the product itself, but where it's placed, how it's used, and whether it's appropriate for the individual.

While there are no at-home treatments that directly reach this layer, there are ways to support it from within.

Nutrition, muscle health, and reducing inflammation all play an important role in maintaining the structures that help support the face over time.

Last month, we explored the bony foundation of the face.

This month, we're moving to Layer 4 - the support system that sits directly above it.

As these deeper structures change over time, the face can gradually lose support and definition. Understanding these changes is often the first step towards understanding treatment.

Next, I'll discuss what can be done both at home and in clinic to support this layer.

PLLA works differently.

Rather than creating immediate change, it encourages the skin to rebuild gradually over time. The results can be long-lasting, but treatments like this also require a more considered approach.

In the previous video, I spoke about restoring structure with hyaluronic acid filler.

But not all injectables behave in the same way, and understanding those differences matters.

CaHA is something I approach carefully. In the right context, it can create beautiful structural support, but it also requires thoughtful decision-making and experienced hands.
