Rise and shine! ✨
FLAWLESS FILTER - Charlotte Tilbury

How can I describe this product?

I never bother about expensive products, but when it comes to skin I won’t hold back the cash 💰

I don’t use it on its own as a foundation, rather use it on the areas I want to give that dewy glowy finish 🤤

Do you like a more matte finish for your skin? Skip this one. But if you are like me and LOVE a glass skin effect

No lipstick 🤯
I don’t need to use lipstick because I have lipblush 🥰

LIPBLUSh is lips tattoo with a very natural colour and it doesn’t look like you had anything done 🙀 suuuuuper natural 🥰🥰🥰

Permanent make-up is such a rewarding profession for me and for my clients. It’s not just about vanity, it’s about becoming more comfortable with your self image and increasing your self-esteem.

I understand there are two movements caused by social media. On one hand we are bombarded with images of sexy women with full lips, long sultry hair, fluffy eyelashes, which have been heavily photoshoped. And those images speak directly with our ego, making us believe we need those features to become a beautiful woman. We like what we see, they are beautiful images. And we want to be beautiful too.

On the other hand, there’s a growing movement of women trying to show us that we need to embrace our natural features, and that we shouldn’t try to standardize our looks. They say we are becoming an army of lookalike baby dolls and how that can be harmful to our mental health.

The truth is that it’s part of human nature the desire to belong and to be accepted amongst our friends and family. But it is also an intrinsic part of human nature that we adorn our bodies and faces and use things that make us look more attractive amongst ourselves, like painting our faces, using jewellery and feathers, using red paint on our lips, and so son.

Being accepted and accepting ourselves is an important part in our psyche. And permanent make-up falls into this category. If you have any flaws on your body, or some characteristic that makes you feel uncomfortable about it, and that if you changed that something on you it would then make you feel that you belong more, then there’s absolutely nothing stopping you from doing it.

It would only become unhealthy if even after that little change you still cannot accept yourself. Then a good therapist will help you more than a good permanent make-up artist.

Overall permanent make-up can and will help you feel better about yourself. The secret for our self-esteem is that just a LITTLE detail makes a BIG difference. And it makes me happy to be able to see women love themselves and finally achieve that feeling of belonging.

Mature skin: the best technique for mature skin is POWDER BROWS. Why? Because the epidermis (outer layer of skin) is quite thin so we need to be the most gentle possible with this type of skin. Ideally avoid single needle if you are not an absolute pro with years of experience (one needle has more power to cut through skin than multiple needles configurations).

I personally don’t believe that temperature of skin influences in the colour choice, so I picked the colour Ash brown for the tail and gradually did an OMBRÉ towards the center mixing a bit with Medium Brown (all from Tina Davies).

Because she has oily skin, the colour will be lifted by almost 50% and she will be left with a nice soft almost watercolour neutral brown ombré brows 💝

Did you know that powder brows can be strong or soft, sexy or elegant. It’s a myriad of possibilities! Read this post until the end to find out why.

Powder brows is usually done with a tattoo machine, but it’s possible to have different results with manual tapping technique as well (something like a stick-and-poke tattoo). But for [semi-]permanent makeup the ink must always be implemented superficially on the skin, OK?

Clients: did you know that powder brows is not always the same? The technician will help you choose the best options according to your personality and natural hair growth. It’s never a one size fits all and your technician will know what looks better on you.

Over the next few days I’ll post some detailed information about each type! Like this post if you want to receive the next ones on your timeline.

Why is powder brows my favourite treatment?

I prefer powder brows rather than microblading because it’s most true to final results and the colour is longer lasting. The healed results are more stable and there less risk of undesirable side effects such as colour change or blurred / bled strokes (that might happen with microblading).

It’s always important to avoid over saturating with too much ink , because it’s easier to do it darker on the next treatments than it would be to go lighter.

Powder brows is also very gentle to the skin. It doesn’t harm the skin and there’s virtually zero risk of scars 💝

All my inks of super high quality and are reversible if you want to get it changed it in the future.

The style will be discussed and chosen according to the clients preference: sharp or airy border, sexy or sophisticated colours , measurements and design.

There are several techniques to perform powder brows and my favourite are: 1RL or 3RL swiping or pendulum , 1RL dots and 9R manual tapping. I might use 11RL for large pores if the client wants a soft finish.

Tell me here in the comments if now you like powder brows or if you still prefer microblading? X
