After his 3 month Master Colour Training in Sanrizz Academy, he worked as a colour technician in the Knightsbridge branch where he resided for two years. He assisted in the International Creative Team, occasionally teaching colour to diploma students and quickly developed an interest in the Sanrizz Young Artistic team. After Sanrizz he joined Patrick Ludde Salon as Creative Colour director, where he built a loyal clientele. He is known by his “couture” approach to colouring hair and he believes colouring hair is a fine art. He then proceeded to join the team at MichaelJohn Hair & Beauty as their International Creative Director, which is where Tan met Hiro Miyoshi before he opened his flagship salon in Curzon Steet. Today Tan runs his own salon Hair Prive a friendly boutique salon in Chelsea SW1W.
