☘️ Is this the end of Headlinerz Barbershop? ☘️
No. Just another chapter.
Are we saddened?
Hmmm… not really really 😄
After an expected forced eviction when we couldn’t reach a compromise with our landlord we’ve set up a quick temporary base (3 doors away from our former site) at 151 Trafalgar Road, SE10 9TX (Mail Boxes etc).
And we keep moving forward: this September, we already have four Jollof Nights™ sessions planned across the Greenwich borough.
For Headlinerz Barbershop and Ndukauba CIC, we call this our phoenix era 😁. It hasn’t been easy, but moments like this remind us why we came into this space in the first place: the space never made us, we make safe spaces wherever they are needed.
We are here to serve our marginalised community, and we can’t afford to lose the only space (Barbershop ) representing the interests of the African and Caribbean community in East Greenwich. We go die here oh! 😂
I’m genuinely excited about the future! It feels like a fresh canvas, and we can’t wait to craft another piece of art and care on it.
As founder of the Greenwich Group of Small Businesses, this has also been a chance to put into practice what I’ve been calling for: smart synergy between small businesses and shared spaces. With the gentrification and high street in rapid decline, especially for businesses run by people from marginalised communities, collaboration is no longer optional, it’s survival.
By sharing resources, we cut costs, free up cash, and gain clarity to strategise the next chapter.
Even as spaces change, the Jollof Nights™ model keeps scaling. The conversations saving lives continues and this proves our model is both flexible and sustainable.
To our brothers and clients in the chair, to our community partners who walk with us in every season, and to our funders and the NHS, we say a very big thank you for your support thus far.
The community healing continues. 🌱
🍀If you’re in Greenwich, come through to The Mail Boxes Etc, 151 Trafalgar Road. Our doors are open.
🍀If you believe in building safe spaces and smarter business synergy, let’s connect and collaborate.

🌳🌿Last night, even the Europa League Final couldn’t stop the mandem from choosing what truly matters—health, healing, and honest conversations.🌿🌳
At Wednesday Night Jollof, over 30 brothers showed up to unpack stress, depression, anxiety, and loneliness—in a safe, familiar space with food, community, and no judgment. We also made history yesterday by running out of Jollof Rice 😂. However, this is how we build trust. This is how we save lives.
This is how you achieve:
🌳 Core20PLUS5
🌳 HiQiP
🌳 Neighbourhood Health Service
🌳 The NHS Long Term Plan
The TNJ model works—and it’s adaptable.
Any borough serious about health wealth creation and bridging health inequalities can make this happen.
We’re not waiting for change—we’re delivering it.
Ready to partner. Ready to scale.
Let’s take what’s working and make it national.
Huge thanks to for funding this pilot.

Getting the Job Done.
When we say we have developed a model that works, we mean it and we say it with every sense of pride and humility.
Yesterday was a blast! We successfully kicked off our mission to spread Thursday Night Jollof across the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It’s evident that there is a huge appetite for these safe spaces that encourage honest, open conversations and genuine connection.
This was powerfully demonstrated by the incredible energy and engagement at Tuesday Night Jollof with Dammy d Barber and Jesse d Barber at Consoligrate Barbershop, Woolwich. The level of participation confirmed what we’ve always known—there’s a real need for spaces where men can gather, reflect, and connect in a meaningful way.
We’re grateful to the Healthier Greenwich Community Fund for making these pilot sessions outside Headlinerz Barbershop possible. This is just the beginning, and it’s exciting to see the positive impact of expanding this initiative across the borough.
Here’s to building more spaces that empower, heal, and inspire!
