Some sad news Galleoneers.
After a decade of serving you we have decided that it's time for us to weigh anchor and sail off into the sunset.

The winds have been buffeting us since the global pandemic of 2020.
This year we've had the unfortunate coincidence of the ransom demands by the pirates of the Southern Electricity increasing to impossible amounts and our landlord offering us a new lease at a 40% increase on what's already a pretty steep demand.

The seas in 2023 aren't looking very certain anymore.
So, we've regretfully decided to pick up our b***y and make sail.
We've absolutely loved seeing you over the years and we hope that we've made you feel as special as you have always been to us.

We will be open for a few more appointments before Christmas.
Do come and see us, even if it's only to wave us off.

The lovely Lily will be offering colour and cut services from 10.00am every Friday.

I'm not sure this will catch on......

The Energy Price hike is going to be affecting many households all over the UK.
It will also be affecting small businesses, in many cases deleteriously.
We have no government strategy to help, which is deeply concerning.

There is currently no price cap on commercial utility pricing which means that business energy prices have increased by 300-400%.
In the case of The Galleon, our guestimated monthly energy bill is now actually more than our rent.
Regrettably, unavoidably, from September 1st, we are going to have to charge an energy levy of £5.00 for every service:
blow dry,
child or adult cut and finish,
and on all colour services.
Our energy costs are now ca £100 a day.

This isn't to increase our profits but to ensure that we can stay open to keep serving you, all our lovely Galleoneers.

A little birdie tells us here on deck at The Galleon that our friendly local neighbourhood gift shop, MYLES FROM HOME (which was the pop-up shop for several months before Rochenbach On The Rye took over) has an actual website and is actually selling exciting fayre.
For those of you wanting to be frugal with your doubloons, they are having a sale.
A good time to gather some Christmas stocking fillers perchance?

We will be open Tuesday 31st, Wednesday 1st and Saturday 4th.
9.30am - 6.00pm.
Bank Holiday days (Thursday & Friday) we remain closed.
We currently have some remaining slots on Saturday, otherwise we are booked up fully.
