Here are my non-negotiables for long-lasting bridal hair:

1️⃣ Come with CLEAN hair
No oil, no conditioner on the roots.
Oily roots = curls fall fast.

2️⃣ Hair MUST be fully dried
Even 5% dampness will kill the volume and shine.

3️⃣ Avoid heavy oils/serums the day before
They make the hair too soft → waves won’t hold.

4️⃣ If you want Hollywood waves, you need extensions
It’s not about “longer hair,” it’s about thickness, weight & symmetry.

5️⃣ Choose a hairstyle that matches your hair type
Fine hair doesn’t act like thick hair. Thick hair doesn’t act like fine hair.
Pick what your hair can hold for 10+ hours.

6️⃣ Weather matters
Humidity, rain, heat — all affect hold.
Book an artist who knows how to prep based on the conditions.

7️⃣ Don’t keep touching your curls 😭
Playing with them makes them drop faster than anything.

8️⃣ Prep takes time — trust the process
Shine, smoothness, structure… none of it happens in 10 minutes.

9️⃣ Bring photos of realistic inspo
Choose looks that match your hair length, density and extensions.
