Even though I’ve been really quite with posting on my page recently, I’ve been in the background watching a lot of artists sharing their work, “how to” tutorials, sketches etc, and that has had a positive effect on me! Sometimes all it takes is watching others create to push you to want to, inspire you to do something different or just get back on the rails! So even without you realising, everything that you do will have a ripple effect!
As we begin to wind down for the end of what has been an incredibly surreal year, I just wanted to say thank you to a few people and accounts who have inspired me throughout 2020!
beauty
And of course I wouldn’t have come across some of these lovey accounts/people if it wasn’t for 💜😍🤩
Thank you ladies and gents!! 💜

“To be Creative,
lose the fear of being wrong.”
A lot of the time we get influenced by beautiful artworks or “perfect pieces” and we want to recreate and get things “perfect”. However in order to progress we need to make mistakes to learn from them.
There’s nothing wrong when you create as the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I truly believe that Art is subjective, so there is no right or wrong, just enjoy yourself and CREATE!
What are your thoughts?

“You don’t have to be perfect to be amazing”.
It’s true - it’s as simple as that!
An interesting topic that came out of one of my WhatsApp henna group conversations last night. We as henna artists or any artists in fact, may feel the pressure to be perfect in a certain style or motif/element of our art. This is my reminder to you - you don’t HAVE to be PERFECT to be AMAZING!!
Be yourself, do your best, find your own style and niche and there will be people that love what you do! 🙌🏽🤗
What are your thoughts? Have you ever felt pressure to “copy” a certain artists style?
Let me know in the comments below ⬇️⬇️⬇️
When you’ve completed some practice and you need your acrylic hand again, there’s only one thing to do - scrape it off!
This is a little bittersweet really, both a fun but sad moment for some henna artists. You’ve just scraped off day an hour or more worth of work, but just remember all the enjoyment or meditative mindset you were in and stay happy! ☺️
Just casually practicing those fills with really bad lighting!! 🙈 completely didn’t realise to refocus my iPhone camera until it was too late! Never mind, not everything is perfect in life and you’ve just got to learn to accept and roll with it!! Life is way too short to worry about what other people will think about how my Instagram grid looks! I used to be one of those people who really wanted every single picture or video to have the same style or colour palette etc, but it stressed me out too much. So here I am enjoying life and making the madness part of my “look”.

“Jhumka gira re”
What’s a jhumka you ask? It’s a bell shaped earring design. The design has hanging decorative elements and is loved for its distinct jingling - so you’ll be able to hear a wearer coming down the street!
So here’s my design with jhumka’s and a little bird inspired by the IG Live session from as part of the lessons!
