Always a pleasure hosting the .fiit girl community at . The care, energy and thought they pour into every event shows. What a wonderful community they are building for the gals! Cheering each other on, moving together, and making London feel a little smaller in the best way 🤍
And happiest birthday to 🫶
Thank you for the beautiful Pilates session
I think people assume ambition is always about ego.
The money.The validation.Proving yourself.
And maybe sometimes it is.
But I think for a lot of women, especially as we get older, ambition becomes much more emotional than that.
You start wanting:security, freedom, time, flexibility, health, community,a softer life for the people you love, and enough resources to actually care for people properly.
The older I get, the less interested I am in performing success and the more interested I am in building a life that feels:stable, warm, alive, and genuinely human.
A lot of my drive now comes from knowing how quickly life changes.
One minute your parents are looking after you.The next you’re holding their hand crossing the road.
And suddenly success looks very different.
It looks like:having time, being present, being emotionally regulated enough to support other people, creating community, building something meaningful, and making sure the people you love feel safe.
That’s a huge part of why I work so hard on OpenMat.
Not because I care about looking impressive.
But because I care deeply about creating spaces, routines and communities that help people feel more connected to themselves and each other.
And honestly?I think modern life makes that harder and harder to hold onto.
Anyway.Just some thoughts from a tired woman trying to build a softer life in a very hard world.
Not because your life looks bad from the outside.
But because you slowly realise:
you’re tired ALL the time,
your nervous system is shot,
you don’t feel connected to yourself anymore,
and somewhere along the way life became another thing to manage instead of something wonderful to experience.
I think a lot of us feel this in our 30s.
You do everything “right”.
You work hard.
You’re responsible.
You keep pushing.
You build a career.
You hold everything together.
And then one day, you realise you can’t remember the last time you felt:
calm,
playful,
present,
in your body,
or genuinely excited about your life.
And honestly?
I don’t think the answer is always blowing your whole life up.
Or starting 3 businesses at once 🤪
I think it can start smaller than that.
Moving your body again.
Meeting people.
Eating properly.
Laughing more.
Getting off your phone.
Having somewhere you go every week that makes you feel like a human being again.
That’s a huge part of why I built OpenMat. I couldn’t find that place, so I made it for us.
Not just for fitness.
But because I think we’re desperate for spaces that help us feel like ourselves again.
Anyway.
If you’ve been feeling like this lately, you’re definitely not the only one.
Hello lovely people,
Bookings are now open for our Pilates & Breathwork session on Saturday 16th May at OpenMat, led by the incredible Samreen.
This is one of those sessions that actually shifts something.
45 minutes of strong, intentional Pilates, followed by a full hour of breathwork to help release tension and properly calm your nervous system.
You’ll leave feeling lighter, clearer, and a bit more like yourself again.
If you’ve been curious about breathwork, this is the one to try.
🗓 Saturday 16th May
⏰ 2pm – 5pm

We’ll also have time to hang in the café after, so you’re not rushing straight back into life.
Spaces are limited and this will fill quickly.
Book via the website.
See you on the mat,
Vic 🤍
P.S. There may or may not be a very good goodie bag involved.
EVERYBODY, stop what you’re doing and look at me…. CANNONBALL!
We’ve been nominated for Beauty, Health & Wellbeing Start-Up of the Year at the UK Start-Up Awards 🥹
OpenMat exists because of this community.Every class booked, every person who’s shown up, every coffee bought… it all feeds something bigger.
Corporate bookings funding community classes.
Wellness that actually reaches people.
This is a big moment… and I’d love to take it further.
If anyone here has press contacts, journalist friends, or media connections who’d be interested in the story,

Looking at you hehe.
BIG BIG LOVE Vic 🫶🏽
Still slightly pinching myself after this one.
Thank you to for the space, and to the wonderful for making it happen. You originally came to one of the early OpenMat free classes… and now you’re bringing it into your world. Truly, truly grateful.
This is exactly how it’s meant to work.
When venues and individuals choose to book OpenMat for their members, their teams, their communities… it doesn’t just create a great session in a beautiful space.
It directly funds access to movement for people who wouldn’t otherwise have it.
Same instructors. Same standard. Different rooms.
That’s the model.
If you run a space, a team, a community and you want to bring something in that people will actually value… this is it.
Can’t wait to be back at The Old Sessions House on Friday 24th April.
If you’re a member get booked in!
Every booking keeps the cycle going.
Love Vic 🫶🏽
Yes I am psychotic.
No, I don’t let that stop me.
I’ve worked out how to get customers in the door.
Without a doubt if you do something embarrassing, like practicing your americas next top model walk or big Ru-veal someone will appear as if by magic to witness your shame.
No one appeared while i attempted to pop out of the freezer like it was a cake, but that’s because there’s no shame in that.
anywayyy,
a new menu focused on hormonal health and longevity is en route.
can’t wait to share more soon!!
Think delicious AND nutritious.
With the occasional slutty croissant hehe
New protein shakes and longevity hacks coming to our East London coffee shop soon.
OpenMat Café just secured a 5-star rating.
I’m receiving it with grace. And by grace, I mean acting like my Flattes received a Michelin star.
Personally, I’d have given us six. But we move.
Getting up to all sorts 👀
