Dr Hala's Microneedling FAQs, with a few extra at the end:

1. When will I see results?
You'll start seeing your results quite quickly, within a week or two. But, your final result will appear in the following months after treatment.
As collagen and elastin production is increased for months following treatment you'll notice your final result after 1-3 months.

2. How often do I need Microneedling?
3-4x a year for general skin rejuvenation and maintenance, but more often for specific concerns. For example acne scarring or for more youthful skin you may benefit from an intensive course of monthly treatment for 4-8 sessions.

3. Is Microneedling painful?
Microneedling is absolutely painless, with numbing cream!

4. Is Microneedling safe in summer?
It is safe in summer, often used in place of more invasive treatment such as laser resurfacing. You should avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after treatment and follow your aftercare advice religiously!

5. Is there any downtime with Microneedling?
In most cases after 2-3 days your skin will look and feel normal. During the first few days your skin might look and feel sunburnt, and you might experience some minor swelling. Following your aftercare advice will help to reduce your downtime!

6. Who is Microneedling suitable for?
Microneedling is most suitable for general skin rejuvenation, or treating targeted skin concerns such as scarring during hotter seasons.

7. Who is Microneedling not suitable for?
It's not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as well as if you have bleeding or clotting disorders. It is generally also not recommended if you have severe active acne, severe rosacea, or active skin infections.
