3 YEAR MILESTONE🍸🎉⁣

I didn't plan on doing anything yesterday, we were at the Salon doing training and my very special friends had a balloon, flowers and cakes delivered and it just made me smile ❤️⁣
⁣
The past 18 months have been so challenging, in business and personally. After my sisters unexpected passing in 2019, followed by my dads also unexpected passing 2 months on, planning funeral after funeral was surreal in itself. ⁣
⁣
Running my business alongside supporting my mum in her grief during the loss of her daughter, supporting my young niece and nephew during the loss of their mum, whilst learning to deal with my own grief was challenging to say the least. Grief is so complex but mostly its messy. ⁣
⁣
As I was slowly learning to adapt to our new way of living, Covid came along. Given that we have only been able to trade for 20 weeks over the past year speaks for itself, as many other businesses have we have taken a huge hit. ⁣
⁣
As I look back on my journey starting in the trade at only 16 and now being 35, there's been years where I've persistently grafted through late nights and early mornings, there's been many detours and countless setbacks and there's also been years where having my own Salon seemed farfetched. ⁣
⁣
This place has given me so much purpose and brought me so much joy but equally its given me a hell of a lot of hair fall out 😂🙄.⁣
⁣
Sometimes we're so busy in the day to day of life, we lose sight of all the obstacles we have overcome, all the challenges that have built true resilience in us and the HUGE number of bad days that we've relentlessly worked so hard to make better days. ⁣
⁣
So whilst Its not been the greatest year, l'm simply going to take this moment to be grateful for all the people that have allowed me to make my business in to what it is now, and to hugely show my appreciation for the special humans in my life that remind me to celebrate this milestone in whatever form it may be. ⁣

So to the next 12 months, to working smarter and seriously smashing glass ceilings 🍸. 12th April we're coming⁣!
