Emilia had an inspo pic with a fringe. We have put in very soft face frames before but they had fully grown out ( as always I wish I had remembered a before pic!) this fringe though is a FRINGE 😎 but still soft enough to grow out gracefully and look lovely with the hair up. NB fringes do need regulate trims to maintain as they grow quickly but there’s usually a fringe to suit everyone, or experiment with clip in fringes which can be fun.

A request for teddy bear blondes. There are many shades of teddy bear but think we managed it. Warm but not too warm, with depth and dimension but still light enough to feel bright. If you go down to the woods today 😉

If you are experiencing a light hair fall, as I am at the moment and is common at this time of year.
Try not to stress. Be gentle on your hair with combing, brushing and maybe try this or another brand for light thinning. Us ladies of a certain age are more likely to experience this with our hormones etc. keep your protein intake good. Some oily fish once or twice a week and a brightly coloured varied diet too. Our hair health is affected by our lifestyle as well as external factors. Happy Autumn guys. 🙏

Under here we have 80-90% white! I know right! Luckily her husband applies a root retouch for her every few weeks and I add more colours every 8 weeks or so, or just when needed. This time we lifted some blonde to her already quite light ash tone and I added a warmer deeper caramel shade to add contrast. Plus a root retouch. Such thick hair with a strong wave throughout. Looks fabulous!

Look at that shine! There’s no denying that darker shades reflect light so much more! We wanted a deep shade that was not too dark nor too warm. Helps that Izzy has smooth dense hair and barely uses any heat. Stunning.

Cheryl’s hair grows so quickly!!! It seems to get long fast and then it just ends up tied up, most of the time. Many can relate. We have chopped to just below shoulders before but this time Cheryl wanted something edgier. So we hilighted and choppy collar length bobbed it. She loved it!! Since then going shorter still. Shorter styles do need more cutting maintenance. Every 5/6 weeks to maintain sassiness levels 😉

Vanessa wanted to look different as she had been this quite dark violet shade for quite some time. She wanted to go blonde but this was not a realistic option after applying reds and purples for years. Even though she has quite strong hair. I advised a copper was more realistic. We achieved this in one evening. A full head of bleach was needed applying carefully, then a copper to even out and the result is lovely while still leaving Vanessa’s hair healthy and shiny considering the level of lightening that was achieved. Fiery copper to match her personality 😊

A little reintroduction from me. I have been a hairstylist since leaving school, starting in 1987 as a stylist, so a long time with a lot of trends under my belt 😊. I have owned a few salons myself and worked with amazing people over the decades. I also lived abroad a few years while raising my children.
Since returning to the uk I worked in the fab village salon in Lymm “Red” for a few years with Kerrie and her fab team but after Covid went mobile to be more flexible with the kids at that time. It’s been a few years now and I enjoy visiting clients at home, giving a very personalised service. My passion is colour and I specially enjoy blending natural tones from blondes to brunettes, coppers to red heads while maintaining condition. I enjoy cutting and colouring natural curls and waves also. My client base is pretty busy but I will still try to accommodate new clients if possible. Thank you to all my clients, new and old for your custom in 2024 and here’s to a fab 2025!!

Waves! So many wavy styles on Instagram and it’s because it’s a great look. Waves add volume and texture, they break up colour making hi lights look like they have extra depth or dimension as it’s now called. I just got some twisted straighteners which makes waving with straighteners much easier. Hair tools are so good these days. Just don’t over do it as heat styling is always drying. Have treatments in between such as K18 leave in molecular, Olaplex number 5 or leave in whipped cream mouse by milk shake. 😊

My other Izzy 😊 also known as Belle. I have been hilighting Belles hair for a few years, she has played with the idea of going darker a few times but we haven’t taken the plunge. This time I believed her when she suggested going darker. We kept a blonde face frame so still bright round the face and i did a reverse balayage keeping a little blonde throughout. The match to her natural colour is spot on and it’s always fun to have a change occasionally.
