WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal fillers have many uses to help improve the look of the face, hands, neck and decolletage. Both younger and older adults, men and women find the use of dermal fillers can achieve the appearance they desire as the effects of ageing can be reduced as well as creating a more striking appearance. Whatever your needs, Rescue Skin Clinic can expertly advise the type of procedure you will require in order to address your personal concerns. IS DERMAL FILLER TREATMENT SAFE?

The safety of dermal fillers is supported by being given FDA approval. At Rescue Skin Clinic we possess expert knowledge and apply the injectable treatment with safety and precision in mind. An unsatisfactory result is not something that is experienced at Rescue Skin Clinic, however if you do not achieve your expected outcome, the product can easily be dissolved.

DO DERMAL FILLERS HURT?

Some minor discomfort may be experienced both during the procedure and for a short while afterwards. Dermal fillers can be administered following the application of a topical numbing cream (20 – 30 minutes before the treatment), however some products will contain a mild anaesthetic. A fine needle is used to minimise any discomfort, with any lasting tenderness settling within a matter of hours.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR RISKS WITH DERMAL FILLERS?

Redness, swelling and bruising are normal effects that are to be expected immediately following the treatment. These effects are usually very minor and will have subsided in around 24 hours. Small bruises that appear where the injections were administered in the skin, can be covered with concealing make-up if the patient wishes. During the consultation session, any other potential side effects will be outlined, reducing their risk by sharing your medical history.

IS THERE ANY AFTERCARE TO CONSIDER?

The treated area will need to be left to settle following the treatment, being careful not to touch or apply unnecessary pressure. For the first 6 hours, the area will need to be kept dry and you will need to avoid extremes of heat and cold.
The results can often be seen very quickly after the procedure and are found to last for up to 6 months. Your practitioner will be able to put a long-term treatment plan in place, which will enable the outcome to be maintained for as long as you desire.
WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance that is produced by the body. Hyaluronic transfers essential nutrients from the bloodstream to the skin cells, while bringing in hydration and adding volume to the skin.

WHY ARE HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS USED?

Once the HA gel is injected, it supports the facial structures and tissues that may have lost elasticity or volume. It helps to bring water to the surface of the skin, keeping the skin supple and fresh-looking.

HOW LONG WILL DERMAL FILLERS LAST?

Dermal fillers can last up to 12 months but patients can have treatments when they and Doctor Nyla feel it is necessary.

WHAT ARE DERMAL LIP FILLERS?
