Hair by Thila

This is a very hard post for me to write but here it goes...
over the last 7 years I really have loved my job as a hairdresser. I have grown so much as a person and most importantly met some wonderful people, but the stress and worry over the last few months and years has been building up and I've had to take a step back from hairdressing for the foreseeable future for the sake of my mental health.
I have chosen to pursue a career at my favorite indoor climbing centre which is somewhere I love to spend my spare time and has really helped me cope with my worries and stress.
I have met some amazing people who have made working in the salon so memerable and enjoyable and I have met some of my best friends through this career. I'd like to thank these people (you know who you are) for all the love and laughter.
I'd also like to say thankyou to my lovely customers for trusting me with your hair and allowing me to develop my skills as a hairdresser. I have met so many great and interesting people which is something I will really miss from this job. Thankyou for your part in my journey.
This hasn't been an easy decision, in fact this past week has been one of the most difficult and emotionally draining of my life, but I'm looking forward to the future 💕

I did my first keratin blowdry today on my lovely colleague Sarah ❤
I'm so pleased with the results. Sarah's hair is extremely damaged due to previous chemical services and the keratin blowdry has helped to add strength and shine back into her hair 🥰

Lovely balayage from the other day 💕

I know I've been quiet on this page recently.
I'm off from today for some much needed holiday and I'm back in work from the 10th of August 🥰
I'll be posting more of my work from then too!
Here's a stunning colour correction I did the other day. The ends of my lady's hair were extremely dry and over processed due to box dyes and bleaches, so we decided the best route for her hair was to darken it all, close to her natural root colour to give it time to recover and to give it a healthy shine. Accompanied with a good cut to get a lot of the dead hair off. 💕
