Today I completed the Behind The Mask domestic abuse, training course. Hairstylists and beauty therapists come across so many people on a daily basis that confide in us. We could be the first to spot signs of abuse and changes in our clients. This course teaches us how to spot the signs and offer our support in a caring yet discreet manner, and guide people in the right direction for support, when they are ready. 1 in 4 women will encounter domestic abuse in their life time, and 2 are killed each week 😓 Just offering a kind word and showing support could change or save someones life.
