Today I had to go and grab some stock.
When I came out my partner goes
“Oh that’s a little bag today that’s good” when I told him the price he nearly had a heart attack. He said £110 for 8 colours and some foil.
YES.
This LITTLE bag still cost me £110 and it made me think. He’s my soon to be husband and he doesn’t even realise how much I spend on products every week so how would anyone else? (and that’s a very small stock normally you’d spend about £100-200 a week)
Having your hair done does cost a lot of money these days, but so does running a salon. If you think 8 colours doesn’t get you far at all, depending on what service you have and how thick the hair is you could be using 2-3 tubes on one person.
Then you have to add on other stock like styling products, peroxide’s, water bill, gas and electric bill, accountant bill, TAX, music licence, rent, insurance, staff pay, phone bill, and the list goes on and on.
This is why hair is so expensive we don’t put the prices high because other salons have, we do it because we have too, I wish I could have colours that cost me £1.99 like the one from Asda/Tesco’s but unfortunately we don’t.
Remember it’s not just the colour your paying for, it’s everything else as-well so please be kind when a salon tells you their prices, we wish everything could be cheaper too ❤️
