I’ve been really curious about mushroom supplements for a while now, especially knowing how supportive they can be for women in perimenopause.

I’ve been lucky to be gifted these mushroom gummies from .life , and I’m excited to see how they support my wellbeing over the next few months.

What I love is what’s inside them:

• Lion’s Mane – supports brain health, focus and cognitive function (hello brain fog)

• Cordyceps – known for supporting energy levels and stamina, without the caffeine spikes

• Reishi – often used for stress support, nervous system balance and better sleep

• Shiitake + more functional mushrooms – rich in antioxidants and immune-supporting compounds

During perimenopause, many women experience fatigue, poor concentration, disrupted sleep and increased stress, so I’m always interested in natural ways to gently support the body alongside lifestyle changes.

I’ll be sharing my honest thoughts as I try these 🤍

Have you ever tried mushroom supplements?

Emily in Perimenopause
Week One Part One

This week has been a tough one.

Grief alongside perimenopause has felt heavier than I expected. The emotions, the mental fog, the low energy, the self doubt. It can all feel overwhelming when life and hormones collide.

Sharing this for anyone who might recognise themselves in these slides.

You are not failing.
You are human.
And what you’re feeling matters.

Part Two coming next 🤍

Two years in and today finally felt like progress.

HRT isn’t a one size fits all solution.
It takes time adjustment and proper monitoring.

Today was my review.
Bloods done.
Blood pressure checked.
Listening to my body.

I’ll share more once my results are back because the real journey matters.

If you’re navigating HRT too this is your reminder.
You’re not behind.
You’re doing it properly.

🤍

I’ve been reflecting a lot recently.

There is so much out there when it comes to menopause.

Conflicting advice. Fear-based headlines. Noise everywhere.

And this year, I’m doing things differently.

Before I became a menopause support coach, I was living it.

The symptoms that didn’t make sense.
The moments of “why did no one tell us this?”

So instead of adding more noise, I’m doing something real.

The Diaries coming soon

Not polished.

Not perfect.

Not another “quick fix”.

Just honest conversations, real life in perimenopause, and the education and tools that have genuinely helped me.

I’ll be sharing more of my own journey, cutting through the confusion, and talking about what this stage of life actually looks like week by week.

I’ll be going live very soon to share more

Why I’m doing this, what’s coming, and why it matters.

If you’re tired of the noise and ready for something real

This is for you.

Coming soon.

No fear.
No drama.
No judgement.

Just honest conversations, real experiences, and information that helps women feel less confused about the changes they’re noticing.

I remember in the early days of my perimenopause feeling scared to talk about it, being judge for my age as I had that a lot (your too young for perimenopause) the worries and the misinformation.

This phase of your life deserves better understanding and that’s what I’m here to share. You deserve to feel seen, heard and empowered. That’s what I’m hear to do for you.

What would you like to know more about in perimenopause?

Most menopause content tells her what’s wrong with her.

Symptoms to manage.

Problems to solve.

Another list of things she needs to fix.

But she isn’t broken.

She is capable, self aware and already doing her best.

She just hasn’t been given the right language or understanding yet.

I know this because I was her.

I went through early perimenopause at 34 without guidance, language or support.

Not because I was failing.

But because no one explained what was actually happening.

That experience shaped my work.

I don’t believe menopause is something to fix.

I believe it’s something to understand.

Because when she understands what’s happening in her body, hormones and nervous system, she stops blaming herself and starts making informed choices that support her life.

This space is for women who already know it’s perimenopause and want a better quality of life, clarity and self trust.

If this resonates, you’re in the right place.

Emily 🤍

Boundaries Guide for the Festive Period

The festive season can feel full-on — family, friends, work, and endless expectations.

When you’re in perimenopause, the mental load can feel heavier and overwhelm builds fast.

Setting boundaries isn’t selfish, it’s essential for your wellbeing.

Ways to set gentle boundaries this Christmas:

🎄 Decide which events you genuinely want to attend

🎄 Say no to tasks that drain you without feeling guilty
🎄 Schedule downtime between busy days

🎄 Ask for support you don’t need to do everything alone

🎄 Give yourself permission to leave a party or family gathering early if needed

Choose one boundary to practice this week.

Notice how it affects your mood and energy, and share your experience in the comments 🌿

So many women tell me the same thing “I went to my GP about perimenopause and left feeling more confused than when I walked in.”

You’re not alone in that. Appointments are short, symptoms can be brushed off, and it’s easy to leave feeling unheard.

But with the right preparation, you can walk in feeling calm, confident, and ready to get the support you deserve. 💛

This post shares simple ways to make your appointment work for you from journalling your symptoms to knowing what to ask for.

It’s about taking back your power, one conversation at a time.

✨ Save this for when you next see your GP

✨ Share it with a friend who’s struggling to get answers

And if you’d like some support on approaching your GP drop me a message.

A question I get asked a lot is:

“How is a menopause coach different from my doctor?”

While your doctor is essential for diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and monitoring your physical health, a menopause coach offers a different kind of support, one that’s holistic, personalised, and focused on helping you feel like yourself again.

Here’s how:

• Holistic Support: Looking at sleep, stress, mindset, nutrition, and lifestyle, not just symptoms.

• Personalised Guidance: Strategies tailored to you to help you feel calmer, more energised, and more balanced.

• Practical Tools: Journaling prompts, symptom tracking, and daily routines to manage hot flushes, brain fog, mood swings, and more.

• Lifestyle and Nutrition Advice: Guidance to support hormonal balance, energy, and skin health without replacing medical care.

• Emotional Support and Accountability: A safe, non-judgmental space to share experiences and stay motivated.

• Long-Term Perspective: Focused on thriving through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond, not just addressing immediate symptoms.

Vulnerable post alert

It really brought back all my emotions writing this post but I really wanted to share with you how far I have come and proud of the version I am today.

Back in 2021, I barely recognised myself.

On the outside, everything looked fine. But inside… I was struggling.

I felt lost, lonely, and completely overwhelmed. Anxiety was constant.
I was trying to keep everything together being a wife, a mum, running a business but it felt like I was failing at all of it.

I felt disconnected from myself, like I was losing myself.

I had no idea it was perimenopause. Why would I? I was only 34.

Finding the right support, discovering my tribe, and training as a Menopause Support Coach changed everything.
I found me again my energy, my confidence, my voice.

Now, I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself too, to feel seen, supported, and understood 🤍
