This week I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Cathy, who came into INK & AURA for her very first tattoo.

She chose this beautiful fine line design of four stars, each one representing one of her four precious grandchildren. A simple, elegant tattoo with such a heartfelt meaning behind it, a reminder that no matter where life takes them, they’ll always be her shining stars. ✨

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Every tattoo tells a story, and it was an honour to create one so full of love and family.

The lovely Alison couldn’t stay away! After creating her first meaningful tattoo, she decided it just needed a little something extra… and I couldn’t agree more.

Together, we added her special nickname, “Ali,” exactly as her beloved Tony wrote it, along with a delicate red rose 🌹 a beautiful tribute to the roses Tony would always buy for her.

The finished piece now flows perfectly, telling their love story in the most personal way. Every element has a meaning, from the handwritten message to the tiny details that only Alison and Tony shared.

We had quite a few design ideas along the way, tweaking and perfecting every little detail until it felt just right. Seeing it all come together was so rewarding, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the finished result.

Thank you so much, Alison, for trusting me once again with something so precious. It was an absolute pleasure having you back in the studio, and I’m so honoured to have helped create a tribute you’ll carry with you forever. ❤️

🐾 A little piece of Simba, forever. 🧡🎀

When Kerry sadly lost her beautiful boy, Simba, she came to me with an idea she’d seen on Instagram and asked if I could recreate something just as special.

What followed was a true custom design. We spent time tracing and refining Simba’s unique ears from photographs, playing around with different shapes and proportions until they were just right. We then transformed them into a delicate bow, with the flowing tails creating a beautiful, elegant finish. It took quite a few attempts, but every little detail was worth it.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with how this tattoo turned out. It’s so simple, yet so meaningful, a beautiful tribute that captures Simba in such a unique way. 🧡

Although Simba may no longer be by Kerry’s side, he’ll always be with her, carried in her heart and now beautifully on her skin. It was such a privilege to create something so personal and full of love.
