If you’re a South Asian bride considering Hollywood waves for your big day, here are the tips I always share with my brides:
✨ Be mindful of heavy embroidery.
Detailed beadwork on blouses or dupattas can catch on the waves and pull them out of shape — choosing the right neckline or fabric helps protect the style.

✨ A full set of human hair extensions is essential.
They give the volume, structure and longevity needed for Hollywood waves that last through long ceremonies, outfit changes and dancing.

✨ Once the waves are set… keep movement minimal.
Hollywood waves are sculpted into place. Excess touching, adjusting or moving the hair after it’s set can break the pattern and flatten the ridges — so it’s super important to keep the style still once finished.

✨ Consider your jewellery.
Tikkas, matha pattis and statement earrings can press into the waves. Planning the placement ahead of time keeps the style smooth.

✨ Weather + location matter.
Outdoor/humid weddings need adapted products to make the waves last.
