Opened by Harry and Avril Walker in 1964, Sweeney Barber Shop is one of Teesside's longest established Gent's Barbers and is proudly still going strong after over 57 years. At our recently refurbished premises on Virginia Gardens, Brookfield, Middlesbrough we offer both Traditional and Modern Styling in a relaxed and friendly environment. For your convenience we are open 5 days a week early 'til late.
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Harry Walker has passed away peacefully on the 13th February. Harry proudly founded the Sweeney Barbers Shop in 1964 and worked through to 2021. His funeral will be held at Teesside Crematorium, St Bedes on 26th February at 11am. The family requested no flowers but they are collecting for charity, so any donations for The Great North Air Ambulance would be greatly appreciated.

Dear customers just a reminder sweeny barbers will be closed over the jubilee from thursday back open following tuesday,and as from monday the 6th will no longer be open on a monday be as normal from Tuesday 9am to 6 same Wednesday Thursday,friday 9am till 7pm and Saturdays 7am to 4pm cheers cheryl
Hi dear customers as its the queens jubilee in june we will be closed 2nd of june to the 6th open 7th off on my jollys taking advatage of the bank holiday and stretching it a bit

Hi quick update GOOD FRIDAY opening time on this day open 8am til 4pm.
