I’ve been working with this client for 18 months and these results are exactly why patience, consistency and trust in the process matter so much.

One of the biggest misconceptions with acne is expecting quick fixes. Acne isn’t just a “surface” skin issue, it’s often influenced by hormones, inflammation, skin barrier health, stress, lifestyle, digestion, product use at home and even nervous system regulation.

When treating acne properly, we’re not just trying to dry the skin out or calm breakouts temporarily, we’re working to create long-term skin health by;

/ Let’s talk about my skin… ✨

One of the questions I get asked ALL the time is what I use on my skin — so here’s a little insight into my current routine and skin journey 🤍

First things first… what works for me won’t necessarily be what I prescribe for you. We all have different skin concerns, lifestyles and goals, which is why skincare should never be one size fits all.

I’m 49 (50 is peeking around the corner 👀) and if you’d asked me a few years ago what my biggest skin goal was, I’d probably have said “not looking 50!” Now? It’s much more about understanding and managing the changes that come with perimenopause.

And honestly… life happens. Stress happens. Late nights happen. Diet Coke happens 🙈
I definitely don’t get it right all of the time, but I do try to focus on balance. Decent food, lots of water, walking my pooch Alfie and recently… yoga with AMALAwellness CIC - Teesside🧘‍♀️ which has been amazing for calming my mind and helping my body heal too.

These days my focus is on reducing inflammation and redness because they can massively accelerate skin ageing. I’ve actually gone the opposite way with exfoliation — I used to be the QUEEN of exfoliating 👑 but now I only exfoliate once or twice a week… and sometimes not at all.

Less active. More supportive. More skin barrier love 🤍
