Ultimate protection for workers in tough jobs www.blackmambagloves.co.uk

22/07/2026

There is no right or wrong choice, here. It's personal!

Detailers need hand protection appropriate to mitigate against the risks they face.

4,6 or 8 mils - which thickness of gloves works best for you?

14/07/2026

So why choose better gloves?

Gloves which are to the thinnest specification (2.8 mils-3.0 mils) will often be supplied to workers in the UK regardless of their job task.

This leaves many workers with frequent issues: rips, micro-tears, splits and snagging.

Poor choices in terms of hand protection cost time and money, create waste and might even result in workers failing to don appropriate hand protection simply because they deem that “it’s not worth the trouble”.

Instead, we’ve introduced thicker, stronger and even biodegradable product over time to specifically respond to workers’ needs.

Ever had a Thumb Blow-Out?

Workers experience problems when the gloves which they’re supplied aren’t fit for purpose.

The thumb is used relentlessly for gripping, so the space between the thumb joint and the index finger is a key stress point where gloves commonly fail.

Minimise the risk of failure:
1. Choose gloves of a suitable thickness for the job task ⛏
2. Look for brands which prioritise quality control and performance 💪

Surely, there has to be a better option than waiting for decades for gloves to degrade once they enter landfill?

Biodegradable - without sacrificing performance and not paying more!

Workers can go to one brand for the choice you need for the right hand protection.

When it comes to disposable gloves, they're manufactured for a purpose and the thickness of the gloves is one factor to consider when selecting.

Plumbers, Heating Engineers, Mechanical Services, Electricians, Electrical Engineers, Builder, Painter...you all have different needs.

What thickness of gloves do you choose?

Grateful to JONNY BAGNALL & BSB team DAO Racing for testing the gloves!

There's really no substitute for real-world feedback.

British Superbikes is tough! Highly optimised bikes and a class field of riders of great ability, including Josh Brookes and Lee Jackson, who all depend on the support of their mechanics to perform.

And mechanics need gloves they can trust when the pressure is on to get the job done.

Mamba Med - unbeatable touch and tactile sensation for fine tuning.
Black Mamba/Green Mamba - optimum balance of strength, durability, comfort and touch.
Snakeskin (orange and black) - toughest choice and unprecedented grip in greasy and oily conditions due to raised pattern surface design.

No wrong choice. But what works best for you?

Engineers wear nitrile disposable gloves for good reasons:

1. Barrier Protection
2. Enhanced Grip
3. Tactile Sensitivity
4. Static Protection

Good gloves protect the skin on your hands from various chemicals.

Wear gloves and protect yourself, first and foremost.

And you also protect your clients' cars from scratches, nicks and marks from grit, too.

We were delighted when Ben Sharpe Racing (BSR) decided to put to the test!
