Hi Everyone 👋🏽

This is not my usual sort of lengthy post but I really need to be able to get this across to everyone as best as I can and would appreciate all my lovely clients to take a moment to read this ☺️

I have been self employed now for 8 year’s & hairdressing since I was 15 I have been so lucky over the years to have built up such wonderful and Loyal clients through doing a job I love and I am so grateful for.
But In recent years there is a small few who I feel have begun to really take my time, work & energy for granted.

For 8 years I have continually worked at least 4 late nights a week (9 am until at least 8 pm) worked almost all Saturday’s and work on Sundays for clients who need. Most weeks I am working 57 hours!
When I first became self employed I knew working as much as I could and fitting clients in as best as I could was the best way to start a business and become busy which I am SO greatful for but after 8 years of this it is beginning to take its toll.
I have no spare time to do the things outside of work I enjoy, I have no spare time to spend with family/friends and have no spare time just to have down time and unwind after such busy weeks.

But what unfortunately is really getting on top of me is having such high demands from clients messaging/ calling looking for me to answer straight away ( when the majority of the time I am with a client already) demanding to be seen ASAP/ ‘to be just squeezed in’, saying their a regular so should be seen. (All my clients are regulars I haven’t taken on new clients in 4 years now)
In a normal working week this may be more possible but when I am already working the hours I do I cannot physically do this!
I am only one person and when I try and explain nicely that I can’t do it I am being met with not nice responses and made to feel so guilty about it.

I have to take a step back for my own wellbeing and for my family as even they can’t cope with seeing the way I am being made to feel week in & week out at work.

So over the next few months I will be changing my working hours and this will mean I unfortunately will not be able to fit you all in.

Please know this isn’t a decision I have taken lightly and please know that I am extremely greatful for my clients who are loyal, understanding & trust me with their hair.

I want to get back to enjoying the job I have always loved & enjoying the company of my clients who appreciate me.

Today is my last day of work before I am off to get married!!👰🏽‍♀️🤵🏽‍♂️ I can’t thank all of my wonderful clients enough for your Cards, Gifts & Well wishes for me & Lewis! We have been completely blown away by your generosity & Kindness!
