Hi all bit of a long but important post ahead.

As many of you know from speaking to me at your parties I “got into” face painting through an entertainment company when I was much younger and I have only just seen the abhorrent behaviour from said company’s former employee (of whom I have never met or know existed) come to light.

I can assure you I have not been a part of this company for quite a while, myself and the manager have been on good terms but limited contact (I grew up alongside him, he himself never made me feel uncomfortable or was inappropriate to children, we simply drifted apart!); I always felt comfortable to ask my ex manager questions about running my business in regards to getting facepaint on bouncy castles and which insurance I should have. As he has been in the industry for years I thought I could trust him.

The main reason I need to speak out is because when it came to my diary being full I had absolutely no problem recommending the company to you guys, I always want potential clients to have a stress free booking process and try and help out as much as I can. I was damaging my own reputation by doing this 😭 having personal experience with them I know that the people I worked with a long time ago did a good job and alongside some other great companies and singular people I had been introduced to during that time!

I feel absolutely awful that these things have happened behind closed doors and since I have left over five years ago and while I can assure you I have no ties to the company anymore personally I would like to make a formal apology that I ever have reccomended this company and if you have used it because of me. I had no idea what had been happening when I left and I have really messed up I am really sorry. I would never knowingly put a child at risk or support a company that supported awful people by hiring them!

Lately, if my diary is full or double booked I have been posting on a professional face painting group which I am part of, and I know that the professional face painters in this group have PVG disclosures and the proper public liability insurance as most are sole traders and we have to cover our back!

This is not intended to pass blame onto anyone but a great tip if you were not already aware, if you are arranging anything for your children please please please ensure the people you are hiring are safe to work with them. I’ve only recently had one client ask me for my disclosure to which I was happy to look out and send. I will not be offended!

Hi everyone, this post is well overdue as some of you know! ‼️
