CannaElements Ltd is no more - thanks to everyone who supported us over the last couple of years… We’d started the business with the aim of being able to generate enough money to fund research into the effects of cannabinoids and the ketogenic diet on childhood brain tumours - despite the links between the business and the research, the CBD market was just too saturated for us to get established - if only I’d started it up the same time I set up Make William Well 🙄 Oh well… 😒

This week - what is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol, which is a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant. It is one of over 100 different cannabinoids present in cannabis. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), another well-known cannabinoid, CBD does not produce a psychoactive effect or a "high." This makes CBD an attractive option for those seeking the potential therapeutic benefits of cannabis without the mind-altering effects associated with THC.
CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in the human body, which plays a role in regulating various physiological processes, including mood, appetite, sleep, and immune function. Research suggests that CBD may have potential therapeutic applications for a variety of conditions, including anxiety, chronic pain, epilepsy, and inflammation.
CBD is available in various forms, including oils, tinctures, capsules, edibles, and topical creams. It has gained popularity in recent years, and ongoing research continues to explore its potential benefits and mechanisms of action.
