Dear customers

It's with a heavy heart, that we announce the permanent closure of Strand after 40 years of service. This will become effective from Saturday 31st May. It has not been an easy decision, and we sincerely appreciate your loyalty and support over the years.

Since covid we've hit hurdle after hurdle and powered on through. Gemma is off to have her baby and Mary is eventually going to enjoy her well deserved retirement.

The shop has stood the test of time, serving generations of families. Many of our clients fondly remember Mary pregnant and raising her children, as time's passed, they've watched Gemma do the same. We've had the privilege of cutting your children's hair, watching them grow from toddlers into young adults, and being a small part of your family's journey through the years. 🥹

We would like to say the BIGGEST THANK YOU to our clients that we've met over the years, we've built some lovely friendships, including some customers we've sadly lost. We couldn't have got this far without each and everyone of you, we will be forever grateful. 🩷

Appointments throughout May will not be affected and Appointments on Saturday 31st May will also go ahead as normal.
If anyone would like to come raise a glass with us on Saturday 31st May and say a final farewell to Strand, we'd love to see you there one last time. 🍾

So Kirsty's final day has arrived after nearly 17 years of working at Strand 💔

Thank you for your amazing hard work and loyalty you've shown through out the full 17 years, we couldn't have asked for more. You've truly been the best!
Your not only an employee or a coworker you're an amazing friend to have 💕

Not only our friend, but friends you've made while making their hair beautiful every time.
17 years of clients, some from the very first day, and sadly some that have passed along the way.
You've been there to laugh with them, cry with them & comfort them through their hard times.
So I thank you on their behalf for being a TOP GAL 🥰

From sleepovers, nights in, nights out, holidays, weekends away, babies, meals out and about a million Greggs sandwiches 🤣🤣 we've had the best times! Now it's time for you to start your new chapter as a Teachers Assistant and you'll absolutely smash it out the park! They'll be lucky to have you unfortunately 🤣

We wish you the absolute best for your future and we hope you enjoy your new role. We'll miss you massive amounts, but can't wait for a catch up cuppa and a corned beef pasty 🤪
