At SLS we care about the full process of your treatment. When you leave the clinic you will be informed thoroughly of all the after care instructions and advice and you will be given an after care pack to take home. This will include an after care leaflet, SLS contact details and some of our after care goodies. 

Shortly after your appointment, we will contact you to ensure everything is settling well. One week after your treatment we will contact you again, then 21 days following your treatment we will contact you to ensure that you are happy with the result.

A S P I R A T I O N 💉

This is a absolute necessity for safety reasons.

💉What is aspiration?
When we fix the needle in the position that we are about to inject in, we pull back the plunger on the syringe and ensure that no blood has pulled back through the syringe. If blood was present, this would imply that we might be in a blood vessel and it is not a safe area to inject.

💉Why is it more important?
When we inject, there is a potential that we are injecting into an artery or vein which can then cause a blockage or constriction to the blood flow, which could potentially lead to skin necrosis, ulceration and scarring. An Embolisation of filler can also enter the central retinal artery and cause blindness.

At SLS we take the safety of both our clients and ourselves very seriously and anything we can do to minimise the risk to your face is an absolute necessity to us.

At SLS we can not stress it enough, please ensure your practitioner is safe at all times as complications can happen to anyone.

It’s important to make sure that your practitioner is fully qualified to use dissolving agents, as this is a completely separate qualification that we’re proud to hold here at SLS.

At SLS you are looked after from the start of your appointment until you reach your full recovery period: the full process of your treatment.

My names is Shannon and I currently work as a registered GDC Lead Nurse for a NHS and private practice along side running SLS.

I’m a qualified and insured advanced practitioner. I’m fully qualified in advanced dermal fillers and anti wrinkle. I trained with 3 and half years ago!

Prior to my GDC registration, I studied anatomy of the facial muscles, nerves, arteries and bone structure for 18 months.

I am qualified in the use of Hyalase, complications and I am a trained first aider.

A N T I W R I N K L E 💉

Anti wrinkle injections block signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscles can’t contract and so, force the wrinkles to relax and soften.
