If you haven’t seen the email I sent last night - please see below.. 

I have decided after much thought and consideration that I will reduce my service list and will concentrate on my strength which is ultimately intimate waxing and what I have built my reputation on. 

The services I have removed are the most physical and difficult for me to do with my ongoing back problem. I need to think of my overall health and longevity of the business and my livelihood if I am going to be able to continue working in any capacity long-term. Please know that this decision has given me sleepless nights and was not an easy one at all. 

I understand that some of you will be disappointed as your sole services have been removed, and I can only apologise and thank you for your custom. I will honour any bookings currently scheduled as I know you have upcoming holidays and events, but these services will not be bookable going forward on the system. 

I do really appreciate your custom and know that I may not see some of you again, that does make me so sad ☹ but as I said before I need to make a change for my health.

When booking an appointment, we require a 50% booking fee which is NON REFUNDABLE to help us prevent ghost bookings and no shows.

*Please Note: a non-refundable booking fee is not a deposit, so please be mindful of this before you choose to book*

Cancellation Policy:

You are able once your booking is confirmed to cancel your booking slot up to 48 hours before your treatment or move\amend it 48 hours before (this can be done by logging into the My Account section via bikiniwaxshack.book.app or via bikiniwaxshack.com) or using the manage appointment link provided in your reminder email/text.

If you cancel/amend your booking slot outside of the 48 hrs notice period, then the remaining balance will be required for the treatment(s) booked. This includes any services that you booked but then changed last minute or on the day - Example:  You booked underarms as a add on service then shaved. 

If you fail to show for a booking slot then the remaining balance will be required for the treatment(s) booked.

If you move your booking after the 48 hrs notice period, the booking fee will be retained for the original day and full payment will be required for the new booking slot.

I allocate the time allowed for your booking just for you! I am by appointment only.  I am unable to fill an appointment with no or short notice.

I do appreciate that life can get in the way sometimes and your wax appointment might not be highest on your list of priorities. However, this is my business and livelihood and how I pay my bills so the policy will be enforced. 

If however, I CAN fill your slot at short notice from my waitlist you will not be be sent a payment request 't-Be-Fairer-Than-That!

Ok, let’s talk about haemorrhoids, skin tags, moles, scars, stretch marks, hair, and anything else you might feel conscious about down there or feel you need to apologise for! Firstly STOP! Please STOP!

I am a professional waxer with advanced training in intimate waxing. I am non-judgemental as a person in my professional and personal life. I’m not thinking about anything other than how to remove your hair safely and effectively and how to make you as comfortable and at ease as possible for your treatment. I just want to do a really good job and want you to go away hair free, happy, and feeling amazing – nothing more crosses my mind, honestly!

Haemorrhoids are extremely common; you don’t need to tell me before I wax you. I’m not going to be surprised or think anything of it. I just work around them and that’s it – no drama! It is also common to have chafing in this area.  If I am unable to wax due to inflammation or skin condition, I will advise you and give advice on what products can help.

So, if you have put off trying waxing or going for the full Hollywood because of a concern in this area. Don’t miss out on what is probably one of the best areas to be waxed. Also, it really doesn’t hurt round the back, it feels odd having wax setting round there, but it is the least painful part of the treatment. I promise you!

Holiday Waxing

Already booked or planning your next holiday? Don't forget to schedule your waxing appointments!

For the smoothest results you need 3-4 appointments.. but if you are only usually a just before holiday kinda waxer then 2 appointments really are the minimum to go for (less isn't always more!) Work 48 hours back from your travel date for your second wax, then 4-6 weeks back for your first. 48 hours after your first wax, start your skin maintenance routine - MOISTURISE DAILY - EXFOLIATE 2-3 TIMES A WEEK and HYDRATE, keep this up until the day before your second wax for the most effective wax, you will have smooth, silky and supple skin! *Remember to leave a minimum of 3 weeks from your last shave or removal cream (no less!)* Skin maintenance is KEY! it will rid your skin of dull dead skin cells and aid the wax in gripping those hairs so they can be removed fully by the root. Get ready to Glow!

Kick The Habit

Free yourself from the daily shave! Starting a consistent waxing routine will keep you hair free and smoother for longer. It is hard transitioning from shaving to waxing as you do need to grow out your hair to be waxed.. once you get past the first wax it gets easier and easier to do this – your hair even after the first wax will grow back finer and it will feel soft, not stubbly so it doesn’t bother you like that spiky hair a few days after shaving.

The best time to start is now and you will be well into your journey by the time summer comes round but you do need to be consistent and leave it no longer than 6 weeks between each wax. This is so your hair growing cycle can be synced and all hair is growing out evenly, it can then all be removed at once and you are smoother for longer!

Essential Aftercare!

Clients who visit me know how much I bang on about the importance of exfoliating and moisturising... I’m like a broken record! But it IS the most important part of your aftercare and the key to better long-lasting results. Waxing is just one part of hair removal and that is made so much more difficult if your skin is dehydrated (and you will find it more painful).

So, once again please, please, PLEASE! Moisturise to keep your skin and hair soft and supple. It really is so simple – the absolute easiest and quickest way is to use a body oil after you shower, apply it to wet skin (out of the shower, otherwise you might slip!!) your pores will be open and able to absorb the oil quickly, towel dry and that’s it. Really, that’s all you need to do! It takes a couple of minutes.

You can use any body oil.. standard baby oil works well but remember you don’t need much, you don’t want to be greasy.. just a light film on your skin. Try to do this daily if you can, it will help to keep ingrown hairs at bay too as the film of oil will stop the hair sticking to your skin under tight clothing and the skin won’t be able to grow over it, it will allow your hair to grow out with no obstruction as well.. you may find moisturising is enough, but we do recommend exfoliating regularly just to clear any dead skin cells that might be stopping the absorption of your moisturiser.

Now the Christmas rush has passed, we are able to accept new client bookings. The online system is open 8 weeks in advance so you can be organised and pick your spot today.

First time visitors will need to book their wax with a minimum of 3 weeks hair growth (or longer) from their last shave or 4 weeks from a previous wax.

Prepare for your appointment by following the pre wax advice that is sent with your booking confirmation.
