Imagine loving theme parks, but knowing the crowds might overwhelm you before you even get to a ride.

For people with autism, ADHD, OCD, and other neurodivergent conditions, crowded public spaces can be genuinely disabling—not inconvenient, disabling. And too often, accommodations are limited, inconsistent, or denied altogether.

Merlin, the operators of popular attractions, including Alton Towers, previously made attempts to provide support to enable those affected to enjoy a visit.

Now, Merlin has decided to remove this essential support.

This petition is to ask them to reinstate that support.

This petition is about dignity, access, and the right to participate fully in public life.

✏️📚🔬🧬 Today, I’m sharing a survey that has been sent to me by NHS DigiTrials. They are hoping that patients affected by MS or Stroke will share their views on access to clinical research, with NHS England.

The two important conditions are very close to my heart because of family illness. It’s important that people from all walks of life are represented, so please do share this post with your friends and family who have been affected by these conditions. 🔥🏥 Scroll right to see the evolution of Day 2. My skin is still far from ok, but believe it or not this is, medically, an improvement. What you can see happening is the resolution of the very swollen oedematous tissues. (Oedema = fluid leaking in to soft tissues, instead of staying in the blood vessels where it belongs). Because the tissue was swollen before, as the fluid goes, it leaves behind disrupted tissue. Just like a deflated balloon, my superficial skin layers now appear wrinkled, stretched and feel very, very dry. The key, is for me not to panic, and to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate until healthy tissue can grow through.
