🖤👱‍♀️Let’s talk BLONDE expectations vs. reality🎉 🌈 Blonde is a journey, not a one-stop flight to platinum (Especially if you have been drying your hair dark and have baby fine hair) 🫶And yes… I know many comments will say that you “have a hairstylist, or you are a hairstylist, or you know a hairstylist who is able to take black box dye and turn in platinum in one day and all the hair was silkier and healthier than ever.” That is not always a reality for every client. So this is for those of us who are mere mortals doing our best to keep our clients’ hair healthy and taking our time (when necessary). I always warn my clients… it’s going to take 4-7 appointments & you will have Warmth, contrast, and depth. It’s a part of the process, if we want to play it safe with your hair & keep ALL your length. 💛🥭 Appointment 1: expect warmth (hello mango, honey, golden glow) 🖤 High contrast + less warmth often needs at least one visit 🤍 “Universal blonding” ALWAYS has warmth built in ❄️ Platinum is earned, not rushed (sometimes that’s appt #5, for others is appt #7) ✨ Dimensional blonde lives in the mix of warm + cool 🪩 Rushing blonde = compromised hair. 🫶 Trusting the process = healthy, shiny, long-term magic. 🌈 If your dark isn’t platinum yet, that doesn’t mean it’s wrong, it means it’s on the way. 🙏 STYLISTS, SAVE THIS.
