Big news at Markova LuxHair 🤍
Today I want to officially introduce you to my capsule specialist Marija.
She has been working with me for the past few months, and I’m honestly so proud of her growth. I personally trained her, taught her my techniques, my standards, and the level of detail I expect in every piece of work.
She is kind, precise, hardworking and truly passionate about what she does, and now she has officially received her certificate ✨
For me, this is very special. I don’t bring people into my work easily, because quality and trust mean everything to me. But she has shown me that she truly cares about the work, the clients, and the result.
So please welcome her officially as part of Markova LuxHair 🤍
And one more exciting announcement: from September, you will be able to book training with me on two different courses:
Hair Extensions Course
Hair Capsulation Course
I will be teaching my techniques, my standards, and the details that make the work look clean, professional and luxurious.
I’m so excited for this new chapter, both for my team and for future students who are ready to grow in the hair industry ✨
Did you know I also do weft extensions?
For this client, we created a softer, more luxurious color and added length and volume with weft extensions, combined with K-tips around the hairline for the most seamless blend.
The goal is always the same: hair extensions that look natural, soft, and beautifully blended.
I’m trained in wefts, tapes, nano beads, and K-tips but I always choose the method that suits your hair best.

24 inch Barbie hair 😍🤍💝

Some transformations are so much deeper than hair ❤️
After medical hair loss, my goal is always to create something that feels natural, secure and comfortable, while protecting the client’s own hair as much as possible.
Every colour match, every curl, every placement matters.
For this type of extension work, your natural hair needs to be at least 6cm long so we can create a safe and discreet blend.
Because the top layers can still be quite short, a little styling at home is needed to keep everything smooth and blended, especially around the crown area. A quick smooth over with low heat and a little hairspray can make such a big difference ✨
What do you think of this transformation? Would you like to see more behind-the-scenes videos like this?
I’m not very active on this page, as I spend most of my time sharing my work and updates on Instagram.
If you’d like to see more of my hair extension work, reviews, experience, and daily updates, you’re very welcome to follow me there 🤍

Today I experienced something that reminded me how important the basics are — even after 11 years in the industry.
I GAVE MYSELF A CHEMICAL BURN working with 10vol. And I’m glad it wasn’t client.
And here’s the key point: it wasn’t because of incorrect formulation or technique. It was because the skin wasn’t completely clean before applying a lightening mixture.
Many stylists underestimate how critical proper skin preparation is before procedures like a scalp bleach or Scandinavian hairline. Residues of skincare products — especially those containing acids (AHAs, BHAs), retinoids, or even certain active ingredients in moisturisers — can significantly increase skin sensitivity and react unpredictably when exposed to persulfates and high pH lighteners.
A few important facts to keep in mind:
• The skin barrier can be compromised even if the client “feels fine” — especially with regular use of actives
• Retinol and exfoliating acids can remain active in the skin for days, increasing the risk of irritation or burns
• Lightening products have an alkaline pH (often 9–11), which can intensify reactions when combined with residual skincare ingredients
This combination can lead to chemical burns — even in experienced hands.
From now on, and I strongly recommend this to everyone:
Always make sure your client arrives with completely clean skin — no makeup, no creams, no serums.
This is not just a recommendation. It’s a safety protocol.
Experience doesn’t eliminate risk — attention to detail does.

Proper brushing is essential for maintaining both hair extensions and natural hair health. It is important to use a professional extension brush with soft, flexible bristles and without hard balls on the tips. Such brushes gently detangle the hair without pulling on the bonds or damaging the attachment points.
Hair extensions should be brushed at least 2–3 times a day to prevent tangling and matting, especially near the roots. Always start brushing from the mid-lengths and ends, gradually working your way up while holding the hair above the bonds to reduce tension.
It is also very important to carefully brush the hair close to the scalp, separating the strands between the attachment points. This helps prevent tangling at the roots and allows natural shed hairs to be released, which keeps the extensions comfortable and long-lasting.
Regular and gentle brushing helps maintain smoothness, prevents matting, and significantly extends the lifespan of hair extensions. ✨
