The Mermaid Cheat Sheet (Flat Iron Edition)
1. Prep: Blast hair with heat protectant. If your hair is silky, add a bit of dry shampoo first—it gives the iron something to grip onto
2. The “C” Motion:
• Clamp a section near the top.
• Bend the hair into a ‘C’ shape and tap the iron over it.
• Slide down and bend the hair the opposite way.
• Repeat until you hit the ends.
3. The Golden Rule: Leave the last two inches bone-straight. This turns “prom curls” into “mermaid waves.”
4. The Breakup: Wait 2 minutes for the hair to cool (crucial!), then rake your fingers through. No brushes allowed. For extra shine add your favourite Argan oil to finish ✨
