At the moment the Fresh Beauty signage is still up, but will be changing soon to Willow beauty and nails, where Amy will be working with Hollie, who is the new salon owner. 😊

Today was my last day at the salon! Its looking very bare at the moment, ready for the refurbishment in a couple of weeks time.
I had a lovely surprise from both my husband Paul and from Hollie, these beautiful flowers. Any one who knows me well will know I adore flowers and these 2 gorgeous bouquets were filled with some of my favourites 😍
I'd like to wish Hollie and Amy lots of luck, Hollie as the new salon owner to be called 'Willow beauty and nails' and Amy starting her own journey at Willow as Perfectly Pampered nails and beauty.
Thank you to anyone who has ever been a client at Fresh Beauty, its been 22 years of hard work but fun, and I would definitely do it all again. Thank you also to all the staff who have come and gone over the years, some of whom will be fondly remembered by lots of you.
Most of all a huge thank you to Paul, who has always been there for me, helping in the background and keeping everything running smoothly and keeping me sane 😀

After watching the BBC documentary this morning with regards to gel allergies , I just wanted to assure you that we take every precaution possible when it comes to the health of your nails.
This is why in 2021, we changed the products we were using to keep you, our clients, as well as ourselves safe.

It's no surprise that gel polish contains chemicals that some may become allergic to, just as people can become allergic to hair dyes, lash glue, and everyday things.
It is easier to identify allergies from nail products, which is why, with regular appointments and nail checks, allergies can be noticed. Which allows for early action to be taken.this is why we encourage regular soak offs and infills. It's not for financial gain. It's to ensure your nails stay healthy.

We are aware of the products that are causing these allergies. We are in a group on Facebook, which has 37 thousand nail techs trying to raise awareness of these products. For legal reasons, I can not name the brands, now known in the group as “The white bottle brands”. But, due to incorrect information in their safety data sheets and lies told, many professional nail techs have used these products, not knowing the possible consequences. These products are manufactured in China and have excessive amounts of Hema and other chemicals in them.

Without Hema, gel products are not as durable. Hema is not the bad guy here. However, with excessive amounts of it, it can cause severe allergic reactions . Our products are either hema free or have low and safe levels.
