I have been putting this post off because it’s really not something I want to do. But sadly with Fuel prices rising and the cost of my colours, developers, foils, products, insurance etc increasing I have no choice but to put my prices up to cover my costs.
I have not increased my colour costs since 2018, so I really hope you all understand.
Cutting prices will remain the same as I increased them after Covid.
New price list is as follows.
Cut and Blow Dry £20
Childrens under 12 Cut (with Adult) £7.50
Childrens under 12 Cut (without Adult) £10
*Please note minimum travel cost is £20, so if you only want one child cut that will be £20 as it is not cost effective for me to drive to someone’s house for £10.
T-Section Foils £45
Half Head Foils £50
Full Head Foils £60
Full head Colour £45
Toner £10
Perm £50
(All of these include a cut and blow dry)
I’m so grateful for everyone’s support over the last few years and I’m so lucky to have wonderful clients. Thank you for your support and understanding # #

I don’t usually do weddings because of other commitments with my little boys at the weekend. But today I made an exception for a special friend and her family. Hope you have a wonderful day 👰♀️ 🤵♀️ 💒
Brilliant news!! I will be allowed to start working again from next Monday 🎉🎉🎉 I really can’t wait to see you all. I will be booking people in in the order of missed appointments to try to keep it fair. I know I have spoken to some of you and I’ll continue to message and reply to people tomorrow. Thank you all so much for your support and sticking with me through such a tough year! Lots of love, Sarah # # #

To all my lovely clients. Stay safe everyone, I will contact you all as soon as I’m allowed to work again to re-book appointments. I’m always at the end of my messages to give advice on home hair colours and cuts.... but if you can wait that probably is the best option. Lots of love to you all # # #
Small Price change from 1st October:
Thank you so much to all my lovely clients, I really do appreciate your support over this difficult time. I haven’t increased my prices for 2.5 years and want to continue to keep them as low as possible. So I will be making no changes to all of my colour prices.
A cut and blow dry will be increased to £20 and a child’s cut will increase to £10. However, Childrens cuts accompanied by an adult cut and blow dry will remain at £7.50.
I will no longer offer wet or dry cuts only. You will be more than welcome to dry your own hair after a cut but the price will remain the same to cover my travel and time costs.
I hope this makes sense to you all and I really do appreciate your ongoing support.
Lots of love

So lucky to have such wonderful clients, thank you for making my first day back to work so enjoyable and for making me feel safe (and for my beautiful gifts) 💕💕💕

I can’t wait to start back to work tomorrow and see all my lovely clients. A few quick updates for you:
*I have decided to keep my prices the same even though my costs have increased, we have all had such a tough time the last few weeks, some of us not earning etc, so I feel it’s the fair thing to do at the moment.
* I can now do blow drys so I will continue to do these. This means discounts will not be applied as all my prices include the cut and blow dry.
* I am allowed to visit more than one client a day, so I have put things in place to sanitise all equipment in the boot of my car.
I believe I have contacted everyone who wanted an appointment, but if I haven’t please feel free to get in touch.
See you all soon # #

From the Freelance Hairdressers Association:
The FHA would like to make it clear that it is illegal for hairdressers to work during lockdown.
THIS IS AN EXCERPT FROM A REPORT BY THE HEALTH & SAFETY EXECUTIVE:
“Mobile hairdressers, beauty practitioners etc would be classed as peripatetic workers and this cohort of the working population would fall to HSE for H&S enforcement of the Health & Safety at Work Act. Any concerns relating to the disregard of Public Health England social distancing measures should therefore be reported to HSE.”
LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS
The lockdown restrictions are backed up by legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act) and there are fines. In England they’ve just been doubled, and increase for repeat offenders to up to £3200. If any FHA members are found to be ignoring the law their membership will be immediately cancelled.
YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO WORK
Currently July 4th is when all hairdressers, salons and mobile, can go back to work. Unless the Government change the date.
We are being inundated with emails asking the FHA if it is OK for hairdressers to work with all kinds of excuses. Can I cut hair in the garden? Is it OK if I wear gloves and a mask? I work from home is it OK to have clients one at a time?
NO! NO! NO! IT IS NOT OK TO WORK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
It is illegal and you stand to be fined. The Government states that hairdressers cannot work until 4th July at the earliest. If you work not only are you breaking the law, you risk a heavy fine and it could be the end of your career.

Stay safe all my lovely clients. I’ll be back when I’m allowed, but keeping you and my family safe is the priority. Lots of love to you all # # #
A call to all my hairdressing/beauty industry colleagues:
If you have any gloves or masks please consider donating them to the NHS, there will be plenty available when we need them again but at the moment our front line staff are having to work in these awful conditions without them. I’m sure any donations will be grateful received!
