We always move into a new year with the hope of happiness, excitement and all good things. But sometimes unfortunately that's just not reality.
I've had a number of clients dealing with some really devastating,and worrying situations recently. Those of you that have will already know this, but if you don't, please do know that I'm here for you.
Whether you need someone to chat to, or you need a pampering escape from whatever you've have going on, I'm here.

Two Feathers is built on love, family, determination, kindness, respect & compassion passed down from my grandparents, of whom the salon is named after.
So that's how I like to think of the salon and my clients, a family, with all those things wrapped up together.

How often do you put others first?
The kids, your partner, parents, friends.
Making sure they all have what they need to get on in life, but you forget about yourself........ sound familiar?
Historically I'm absolutely terrible for this myself, so my new years resolution is to look after myself, to love myself!
I'm going to start with booking regular massages, haircuts, swimming.

How is your January going?

Mine has been rather hectic with a combo of being busy in the salon and home life stuff.

Today the lovely handyman Alan at Redmayne, kindly popped my sign up for me. Whoop whoop feels all official now..... I've only been here nearly 8 months!🤣
I might even consider an official opening one day.

After finishing the day with 2 massage clients the salon lighting is all cozy, so I'm just absorbing the cute & glowing festive vibe in the salon before I head home for the night.

I'm back in the morning for some more beautiful clients with a mix of hairdressing and facials.

Sometimes life is so busy, we just seem to exist. We just "put up" with aches and pains and feeling naff...We carry on with the daily slog without taking care of ourselves.

But did you know, it's actually OK to take time out for yourself?! Taking care of your own physical and mental wellbeing isn't selfish or a waste of time.

Last week I lost a wonderful friend, I'm feeling sad, tired, angry, a bit lost....so you know what, I took the day off yesterday for me and went to see a friend for a facial ...and on Friday I'm going for a massage too. Because how can I perform to my best as a mum, wife, daughter, sister, friend, hairdresser and massage/Beauty therapist if I don't actually look after myself first?!......I can't, simple.

I love to see how my clients lay on this cozy heated bed and let all their troubles melt away.

I love how my clients feel comfortable enough to fall asleep during a massage or a facial.

I love seeing how my clients float out of the door after having arrived with the weight of the world on their shoulders.

I love that my clients feel warm, comfortable, safe, loved, wanted, relaxed, revitalised, refreshed (and many more lovely words I'm sure)

I love my job, I love my new salon and I love you all.
