We're incredibly grateful for Dave – the dad who's always up for a play fight, turns an ordinary walk into an adventure, gives the best advice when it's needed most and works incredibly hard for our family.

He's endlessly proud of Eve and Ellis, their biggest cheerleader and the first to celebrate every success, big or small.

Today we're also celebrating dads, stepdads, grandads, father figures and all the people who show up with love, laughter and unwavering support.

A lovely start to treatment today with Angel Aligners 💫

Today was aligner fit day — always an exciting step in treatment.

Clear aligners use a series of custom-made trays to gently move the teeth little by little. They are removable, discreet and designed to fit into everyday family life — with regular reviews so we can monitor progress closely.

At a fit appointment, we: 🦷 Check the aligners fit comfortably
🦷 Place small tooth-coloured attachments where needed
🦷 Explain how to wear and care for the aligners
🦷 Send the patient home with their first sets
🦷 Arrange regular reviews to keep everything on track

Today’s learning 📚🦷

Spent the afternoon learning more about paediatric craniofacial growth and development with Dr German Ramirez-Yañez — and it reminded me how important it is to understand the why behind what we see clinically.

As dentists, we’re not just looking at teeth in isolation.
We’re looking at how children grow, how the jaws develop, how the bite changes over time, and how early patterns can influence future dental development.

Crowding, narrow arches, open bites, crossbites and facial growth patterns are often part of a much bigger developmental picture. Understanding these connections helps us make better decisions about when to monitor, when to intervene and how to guide growth in a positive way.

One of the things I love most about early interceptive orthodontics is being able to support children during growth, rather than simply reacting once all the adult teeth arrive.
