The children are back at school today after the Easter holidays—was anyone else secretly a little excited? I absolutely love the holidays and spending that extra time together, but I also appreciate getting back into a normal routine.

With the kids back in school, I took the opportunity to start the day with an early trip to the gym and get that done first thing. After that, I tackled a few jobs around the house before getting my hair done and enjoy a bit of time to relax.

We are currently on a hair journey with my client. She initially chose to apply a home box dye in black with green and blue tones. Shortly after her release, she decided she wanted to transition to a more natural colour.

We began the correction process by stripping the hair. The black pigment lifted exceptionally well; however, as expected, the green and blue tones proved much more resistant, as these shades are notoriously difficult to remove. Rather than over-processing the hair, we focused on neutralising the remaining tones as safely and effectively as possible.

While colour corrections are rarely perfect in the first session, we are very pleased with the overall initial result and look forward to continuing the journey toward her desired natural shade.

Switching things up today! My client chose a much darker shade than usual, and it turned out stunning. The colour suits her so well—and the shine and health of her hair speak for themselves 😍
