But you know what it wasn't???!!!

This is me, 5 days post partum with double mastitis, absences and sepsis. I was admitted to hospital for a week. I missed my son's birthday. I was absolutely broken. The mum guilt I felt was beyond anything I could imagine. So yes, maybe I was a little selfish. But you see, I was never meant to have kids. Let alone bf. I have pcos which is known for tubular breast. I was given the misinformation that means you can't breast feed! With help and support I did! This picture proves it wasn't always easy to do so, but you know what, it's what I wanted to do for my kids. And because of this I wanted to help and support other mums.
Guide them through the mine field of incorrect information such as small breast can't produce enough milk 😫

Breast size has nothing to do with how much milk you make. That comes from efficient milk removal! The more milk you remove, the more you'll make. Supply/demand!! Breast size has nothing to do with storage capacity of milk!

For real support, for real education please always sought help from a breastfeeding professional! Breastfeeding supports, counselors, and ibclc! We are here to help, not push breastfeeding on you, to give you a chance to feed the way you want!!

I am looking forward to spending this day with some absolutely amazing women as it is the NBT awards night and I am a finalist for the rising star award!

So feeling very blessed watching my daughter become strong, confident and able while doing her Jujitsu class, feeling grateful to be raising a son with compassion and love in his heart and looking forward to being around strong, caring, welcoming and beautiful women
