So much of the beauty industry is built around fixing things.
Too frizzy? Here's a product. Too flat? Here's a product. Too dry? Here's a product. Too big? Too small? Too wild? Too much? Too little?
Yes products are made for different results and you do need certain things at certain times BUT we're constantly being told there's a "problem" to solve. That word- problem.
But what if we took the problem away?
What if frizz wasn't a flaw? What if volume wasn't something to tame? What if your hair wasn't a project?
Maybe the question isn't "What do I need to fix?"
Maybe try "What do I want?"
I wear perfume because I enjoy it. I wear lipstick because it makes me feel good.
The same can be true of hair products.
Use a cream because you love the softness it gives. Use a gel because you enjoy the hold. Use mousse because it creates the look you want. Not because someone on the internet told you it's Step 3 of 7.
There are no curl police.
You don't need five products. You don't need a complicated routine. You don't need permission.
You get to choose what works for your hair, your lifestyle and how you want to feel.
Maybe that's the shift.
Stop asking, "What's wrong with my hair?"
Start asking, "What do I want from it today?"
Because the moment we remove the problem, we create space for choice. π
I created Curls Club to help you understand your hair. I show you how and why products do what they do and show you easy styling methods but not with rules. You choose what works for you. You feel it!
Do you want to take the problem away? We can!
How would you like to FEEL about your hair? What words do you find triggering? Share in the comments π

Here's the thing about curls...
They're never the same twice.
Every head is different. Every curl has its own personality. Every day brings something new.
That's why I love them.
I love helping people understand their hair. I love seeing the moment something clicks. I love watching clients stop fighting their curls and start enjoying them.
Whether I'm teaching at Curls Club, working with a client in the salon, or showing stylists how to work confidently with texture, it never gets old.
Curls have completely transformed my career.
And I still get excited about them every single day.
If you've got curls and want to understand them better, come to Curls Club.
If you're a stylist who wants to feel more confident cutting and styling curls, I'd love to teach you too either here in Nottingham or in your salon.
Book now through the link in my bio or dm me for more info!
Tell me in the comments what do you love most about your curls? ππ

She was 63 years old and she told me something I'll never forget.
For the first time in her life, she had sat in a room full of other people with curls. She was overwhelmed and excited.
Sixty-three years.
Sixty-three years of school, work, relationships, family events, hair appointments and everyday life and she'd never experienced that. Not once.
I hear things like that all the time.
When we talk about curls, people often think we're just talking about hair.
We're not.
We're talking about belonging, about representation.
We're talking about seeing yourself reflected in the people around you and realising you're not the odd one out.
At Curls Club, people learn how to style their hair.
But something else happens too.
Stories get shared.
People realise they're not the only one who's been told their hair is too much, too messy, too wild, too difficult.
And sometimes, after decades of feeling different, they finally feel understood.
That shouldn't be remarkable.
But right now, it still is.
And that's exactly why I'll keep doing this.

Hair is NEVER just hair.
People think because I work with curls, I spend my day talking about products and diffusers, of course that's true.
But what I actually hear?
βI hate my hair.β βItβs too frizzy.β βItβs too much.β βI just donβt know what to do with it.β βI wish Iβd known this years ago.β
This isnβt just hair.
Itβs confidence. Identity. How you feel at work. On nights out. On holiday. On first dates. On school runs. In photos.
For so many people with curls, the problem was never actually their hair.
It was never being shown how to understand it.
Thatβs why Curls Club exists.
Not just to teach styling.
But to help people feel seen, supported, and confident.
Tell me honestlyβ¦
Has your hair ever affected how you feel about yourself? share in the comments just a yes if your story is to personal or comment CLUB and i'll send you the info
