First fabulous client complete and, boy, has it made a difference! Damage from overuse of heat (straighteners), especially at the front, near the temples (see photos). Thick hair that needed straightening but can now be left. Less heat = less damage = healthier hair!
These photos show before, during and after. Check out the difference in the really damaged areas. The after photos are blow-dry only, no straightening at all.

When you get a shout-out from one of your two absolute all time favourite brands! This has made my day. Thank you PAPER NOT FOIL for creating such an amazing product! I hope, in time, that all hairdressers everywhere get on board with this because it's time to stop using plastic and foil sheets to colour. I wash them, by hand, after they've been used and I hang them around my bathroom to dry! They're incredibly durable, I've been using mine for a year now and I've lost count of how many times I've actually used them!

While I'm here I'd like to say that it's time that our industry, and the beauty industry, stops using plastic and disposable capes, gowns, gloves, caps and everything else that seems to be used because it's "convenient"!

As a mobile hairdresser I take my responsibility for the environment very seriously. I use washable gowns and aprons and given the current pandemic you'd think it would be "easier" to just use disposable but I refuse to go down that path. I went out and bought 15 more gowns and 15 more aprons and I wash them, as a batch, after each single use.

We MUST take responsibility for our planet and our environment and that responsibility starts with each individual 🌍♻️🐟🌊🦀💚

Been doing Julie's hair for years and it's always been blonde highlights, which are always fab but she just wanted a change....and boy did she go for a change!

Loved doing this for my gorgeous client Soibhan! She hadn't been able to have her colour done since November!!!!! Due in April but lockdown happened so this was a BIG job!

And today, it almost feels like a normal Monday. Husband gone in to the office for the first time, the 8 year old is still asleep and I'm sitting here with a healthy shake, a green tea and colouring in to relax before the whirlwind wakes up! 🌪️

It felt SO good to be back at work on Saturday. Ridiculous mixture of high nerves and high excitement but I got through it and felt human for the first time in a long time.

Now just to get through the next four weeks of working every single evening, some days in the gazebo and Saturdays for 12 hours straight! 😂

Pass me more macha!!!! ☕
