💅☀️ A Little Note About Next Week’s Heatwave ☀️💅

With the amber heat warnings forecast for next week, I wanted to give my nail clients a quick update.

As lovely as the sunshine is, nail products definitely don’t enjoy the heat (me either 🤣)! High temperatures can affect how products behave and cure, making treatments a little trickier than usual. I’ll have the air conditioning running in the nail room to keep the temperature as stable and comfortable as possible.

On a personal note, I’m also currently dealing with a flare-up of my hives 💔 and unfortunately the heat doesn’t do them any favours. I’m working through it as best I can and thankfully, I’ve been allowed to go back on the immunotherapy injections. They’re just taking a while to get back into my system💛

I’m still planning to work as normal, but if you’d feel more comfortable rearranging your appointment to a cooler day, please just drop me a message and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Thank you all for your understanding, patience and continued support. Now let’s hope the nail products (and I!) survive the heatwave! 😅💅☀️

How are we halfway through the year already?!

I haven’t done an update on here for a while. It’s now been over a year since my health took a little dive.

I started a 6-month course of immunotherapy injections back in November and thankfully they cleared up the hives within 3 days. I had one breakthrough when I was ill after Christmas but it went away pretty quickly. A few other symptoms have lingered but they’ve been manageable.

The course ended in April and although I’m still doing okay some of those other symptoms have stepped up a notch. I’ve also had a few hives appear again – the heat probably hasn’t helped! 🤣

For now it’s just a waiting game and I’m hoping I don’t go too far backwards.

Anyway, enough rambling! I’m okay, plodding along and I really appreciate all your support throughout what’s been a really tough time.

I do have some upcoming availability, so keep an eye out for another post or drop me a message if you’d like to book in.

I’m also thinking about making a few changes to my opening days and hours, so watch this space for updates on that too.
