🏆 I’m pleased to announce the launch of the Rushcliffe Small Business Awards 2025 in the run-up to Small Business Saturday.

Our area is home to a wealth of brilliant businesses that play a vital role in our community and contribute millions of pounds to the local economy. It’s important that we recognise their work in the run-up to Christmas.

You can nominate your favourite small business in Rushcliffe across one of six categories:

1️⃣ Best small shop 🛍️ From the friendly corner shop to delightful bakeries, this award honours the shops that capture the heart of our community and keep people coming back for more.

2️⃣ Best health, beauty and leisure service ❤️ Celebrate the businesses that prioritise your well-being, whether it’s the local gym, your reliable pharmacist or the nail bar that makes you feel fabulous inside and out.

3️⃣ Best trade service 🔧 Nominate your go-to tradesman – the reliable plumber who sometimes saves the day, the skilled technician who fixes your all-important devices, or your go-to car mechanic. I want to recognise people who provide an exceptional service to Rushcliffe residents.

4️⃣ Best hospitality business 🍻 Hospitality is a key industry at the heart of every community, whether it’s the pub that serves the perfect pint, an outstanding restaurant or a takeaway business that makes your Friday nights feel special. But which local businesses have the edge and why?

5️⃣ Best professional service ✏️ We all need professionals in our lives, whether it’s a trusted accountant, a maths tutor or a solicitor. This category celebrates people who are generous in providing their invaluable expertise.

6️⃣ Best rural business 🌾 Finally, if you live in one of Rushcliffe’s smaller villages, tell me about the businesses that make you feel proud to live in a rural area – about the people who value nature and are working with our environment to create products or promote services that put rural Rushcliffe on the map.

The deadline for nominations is Sunday 30th November and I will visit the winners on Saturday 6th December – Small Business Saturday – to present them with their award.
