Scar camouflage tattooing is a technique used to help reduce the appearance of scars on the skin.

The procedure involves tattooing the scar tissue with ink that matches the color of the surrounding skin, essentially creating the illusion of a smoother surface.

This technique can be used on scars resulting from surgeries, injuries, burns or other trauma.

The process of scar camouflage tattooing begins with a consultation. Adele will assess the scar and determine the best approach for tattooing it. A custom blended pigments is mixed to match the patient’s skin tone, in order to achieve the most natural-looking result. Once the colors have been mixed, I will use a small needle to carefully tattoo the scar tissue, layering the ink until it matches the surrounding skin.

The healing process for scar camouflage tattooing can take several weeks, during which time the skin may appear red or swollen. However, once the area has fully healed, patients are often left with a significantly reduced appearance of their scar.
