🌿 Helena Lynette Thoughts 🌿

Today, my heart is heavy.

A friend sent me a photo of me from 9 years ago when I was pregnant with my son Ezekiel. I call him "Strength" because Yah showed me he was sent to strengthen me through one of the most challenging seasons of my life.

Looking at that photo made me think deeply about children and how they are being treated in today's world.

I cannot understand why anyone would harm a child, whether in the womb or outside of it. Children are precious gifts from Yah. The Bible tells us, "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward" (Psalm 127:3 KJV).

As I prayed and reflected, I felt strongly that the enemy desires to destroy, steal, and kill what Yah has created for good (John 10:10). I believe the enemy targets children because they carry the innocence, promise, and God-given purpose that Yah has placed within them. They often reflect some of the purest qualities that Yah desires to see in us—trust, humility, love, and dependence upon Him. Yahshua Himself said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:14 KJV).

When I look at the suffering of children around the world, I cannot help but see a spiritual battle taking place. The enemy seeks access through brokenness, trauma, abuse, neglect, exploitation, violence, and anything that destroys what Yah intended for good. That is why we must pray, protect, support, and advocate for children with all our hearts.

I find myself asking everyone who knows the power of prayer to pray for our children.

🙏 Pray that they are protected. 🙏 Pray that nothing hidden in darkness remains hidden. 🙏 Pray that children are placed with safe and loving people. 🙏 Pray that mothers receive the support they need before, during, and after pregnancy. 🙏 Pray that fathers are supported too. 🙏 Pray that those struggling with their mental health receive help and healing. 🙏 Pray that cycles of trauma, abuse, and neglect are broken.

There is so much pain in this world, and often there is a deeper root behind it. We must not only pray for the children, but also for healing
