Most of you will know that over the past 9 months, our lives as a family have changed in ways we never could have imagined. As we continue to navigate this new chapter, we’ve been incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received along the way 🤍

Along our journey so far, we’ve been especially thankful for a wonderful charity, The Limbless Association.

They provide guidance on life after limb loss, help build knowledge and understanding, and offer real support in navigating this completely new way of life. As we continue to adjust to what is a lifelong condition with many challenges, their support will undoubtedly remain a huge part of our future.

Through events organised by the charity, we’ve met some truly amazing people - professionals, amputees, and families all walking a similar path. One of those people is Derek, a truly inspirational man.

Derek has taken on an incredible personal challenge - cycling from the west coast to the east to raise money for the charity. The courage, determination, and endurance this takes is something else, and we’re so proud to know him and support him in any way we can.

If you’d like to support Derek too, you can donate using the link below. Every contribution, no matter how small, really does make a difference - and helps more people than you may ever realise 🫶🏻

Hi all, Sammy here 🤍

I’ll be opening up a few available slots beginning this week. They will be sporadic to start with while we continue settling into a steady routine at home.

The first appointments will be available on Wednesday 4th March, 2pm–6pm.

I’ll post any future availability here on social media as and when it becomes available.

I’m really looking forward to seeing you all again. I kindly ask that you respect that I may not always feel ready to talk about my personal life, as it’s still quite emotional and ongoing. Thank you for your understanding 🤍

Just a little check in from Sammy 🤍

Stepping into the new year has brought a mixture of challenges and small wins. It’s been a time of adjusting, prioritising family, our wellbeing, and making sure any next steps are taken thoughtfully.

I know many of you are waiting for me to commit to a return date in the diary, and I’m so grateful for your patience and loyalty. Please know that coming back to work is absolutely on the cards — the timing just needs to be right.

When I do return, I want to be able to give you the energy, focus and care you deserve. Thank you for sticking with me and for the continued kindness and understanding. It truly means more than you know 🤍

✨ Happy New Year to all of our wonderful clients ✨

As we say goodbye to 2025, I just want to say the biggest thank you to each and every one of you for your patience, kindness and continued support throughout what has been a very different year for us. It has genuinely meant more than you’ll ever know.

I also want to say a huge thank you to Danielle for everything she’s given this year, her hard work, care and commitment have been incredible, and I’m so grateful for her 🤍

As we move into the New Year, we’re also gently stepping into a new phase at home. I’m really hopeful about returning to the salon as soon as I can, but for now I can’t put a date on that.

I do hope to offer the odd appointment here and there when it feels possible, however I won’t yet be able to create any real structure to my working weeks while we continue to navigate Gary’s care and appointments. Everything will be taken step by step.

Thank you, truly, for your continued understanding and support, it means the world to us.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy New Year
Love,
Sammy 💛

✨ A little note from me ✨

I wanted to let you all know that I won’t be returning to the salon this side of Christmas. I know how important it is to have your appointments sorted for the festive season, so I wanted to give you plenty of time to plan. Danielle is already getting very busy for December, and I completely understand if you need to make arrangements elsewhere this time.

Thank you, as always, for your support and patience, it means so much. 💕

✨ A little update from me ✨

We’re still very much in the thick of Gary’s recovery, and most of my energy is focused on caring for him and the boys — while also remembering to look after myself so I can stay strong for them too. I’m not ready to return to the salon just yet, but I didn’t want to leave you all without an update.

It’s been challenging, but we’re doing our best to stay positive and keep looking forward. Your patience, kindness and messages of support mean more than I can put into words — many of you have been with me for decades, and knowing you’re behind us really helps. 💕

Thank you for continuing to think of us. I’ll share more when the time feels right.

Update for all my beautiful clients and friends,

The last 5+ weeks have been some of the hardest we’ve faced yet. What started as Gary’s recovery at home quickly turned into a series of urgent hospital admissions, more surgery, infections, and long nights filled with worry, setbacks, and uncertainty.

It’s been exhausting and emotional, but Gary has shown incredible strength and resilience through every challenge. As a family, we’ve had to dig deep too, juggling hospital life, home life, and everything in between.

I'm so relieved to finally say Gary is home again. The road ahead is still a long one, but we can restart his rehabilitation together, surrounded by the comfort of home and the love that has carried us this far.

We’re so grateful for all the support, kindness, and messages we’ve received, they’ve truly kept us going, missing you all, Sammy 💙

A little Update:
Thank you so much for all the kind messages of support — I hope you understand why I haven’t been able to reply to everyone individually.

Unfortunately, Gary had to return to hospital last Sunday and undergo another surgery following complications. He then developed an infection towards the end of the week, and yesterday needed further surgery.

He is now back in recovery, in very good hands with the medical team. While it’s been a difficult spell, we’re staying positive as he continues his rehabilitation journey. We’re so grateful for all the support — it truly makes a difference.

Hi everyone, it’s Sammy here with an update 💛

I’m so happy to share that Gary is now home and continuing his recovery and rehabilitation from here. It’s been a long, challenging road so far, and while there are still tough moments ahead, we’re absolutely elated to all be back together under one roof.

We honestly can’t thank you enough for the love and kindness you’ve shown us over the past weeks. We’re so grateful to have such an incredible circle of support around us.

I’ll keep you posted as we go along, but for now, we’re just taking each day as it comes xx

Hi everyone, it’s Sammy here again 💗

Firstly, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind words, messages, and support. Your compassion and care means so much.

It’s been a deeply frightening and emotional time for our family, and I wanted to share a bit more now that we’ve had time to process. As some of you know, my husband was involved in a horrific accident. There were moments we truly didn’t know if he would make it, and we experienced the unbearable feeling of almost losing him more than once.

But by some miracle, he’s still with us, and his strength is nothing short of superhuman. He’s our Superman.

In the accident, he was crushed at work. He lost his left leg, had a portion of his bowel removed, and underwent complex vascular surgery to graft a vessel supplying blood to his right leg. That procedure was successful, and now he’s fighting hard every day to get to a place where he can continue his recovery from home. We are honestly in awe of him every single day.

We’re currently doing everything we can to prepare for the moment we get to welcome him home, setting up our space and making arrangements so he can live as independently and comfortably as possible. That day can’t come soon enough.

For those who have asked how they can help, a GoFundMe page has been set up to support Gary’s recovery and rehabilitation journey:

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and support. It has meant the world and reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

Love and gratitude,
Sammy 🤍
