Well after a well needed holiday and a break in the sun from all the organising in getting Zu! all closed up.
I just wanted to finish now by saying a huge big thank-you to each and every person that took the time to wish me well on my leaving post, sent a message or posted cards.

From friends, clients, old clients, past members of staff and hairdressers I know around Omagh I was blown away by all your lovely comments, well wishes and a few funny stories of the memories staff and clients had from years ago. Or the craic people have in the salon or how they feel when they’re there.
It give me such a laugh but it definitely made me shed few tears and was humbled by it all.
25 years in the town hairdressing is a long time and hearing everyone’s kind stories was just lovely to read.

To everyone that brought in cards, gifts in the run up to us closing and to anyone that made it in that Saturday for our brunch, I can speak from Myself, Sinéad, Karen, Natasha and Amy we where so blown away at the kindness of all our clients, we didn’t expect it and we where so taken back at the effort people went to and we are so very grateful and we went away that Saturday feeling really valued and appreciated by each and every one of you.

I opened up Zu! On a high and by god I left Zu on a high and it shows in everyone’s kind words of the people we know and the happy staff I had that have parted their different ways. We are all so very happy and grateful for all our great memories that we can take with us.

‼️‼️To all my lovely clients, I have an announcement to make ‼️‼️
As of Saturday the 27th of May ZU! Hair will close it doors for the last time.

There is no big story, no big reason, the salon is thriving and we have never been busier ,but it’s time for a new beginning.

As most of you will know, I have been living in Derry for the past 13 years and my life and family are up there. With the kids getting older and having more activities going on in Derry and travelling to and from Omagh, the work/life balance is becoming too difficult to juggle. So, I have decided to start up again in Derry before I get any older...which isn’t possible as I am Peter Pan!

I have made the decision to put my health and family first and make life a little easier on myself.
I opened ZU over 14 years ago and, God, it has been good to me in every way. I have had so much fun, had so many laughs and employed so many great girls throughout the years, some of who are with me the longest, like Sinead Treanor, who is with me all 14 years from the start, Karen O'Hanlon, who is with me 10 years, Natasha who's been at ZU six years and wee Amy, who is our sidekick part of the family!
I have had lots of lovely staff come through my doors who are great friends to this day, which says a lot about the business I run.

My clients...what can I say? You are one in a million and I class many of you as great friends. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you and to anyone that walked through our door, you have all made your mark.

I will be really sad to say goodbye to you all as some of you have been coming to me for 25 years, your loyalty still blows me away.
I have watched you grow over the years, just as you have all watched me grow, from dating, to babies, weddings and all the rest in between, it has been an amazing journey.

The one thing that everyone says, is that we are a great bunch of girls and the atmosphere of the salon has always been relaxed and welcoming and everyone was made feel at ease, which I take great pride in hearing as this is very important to me.
I will definitely miss all the laughs and giggles with the staff and clients, it truly has been a great place to work, but there comes a day when priorities change and there is no better time to leave than on a high.

I want to thank each and every client who walked through my door, I want you to know from the bottom of my heart I am truly grateful for your support over the years and feel blessed.
I want to thank my amazing staff Sinead, Karen, Natasha and Amy; you have been the best staff any employer could ask for, you are actually my friends - I was never the boss, you girls have pulled me out over the years when I needed you, you looked after my business as if it were your own and I am forever indebted to you all. You have been unbelievable girls to work alongside for all these years and I will miss you dearly.

I am truly blessed to have had such great team.
As a thank you, I am having a brunch in the salon on Saturday the 3rd of June from 10am to 1pm Everyone is welcome to come in for a bit of a send-off, no doubt there will be few tears on my part.
