Such a fab day at today’s Advanced Hard Gel Workshop ✨

Massive congratulations to all the ladies who attended today 👏

We covered so much throughout the day, including structure and product control, how to straighten the nail, reinforce the free edge, and achieve the correct thickness through the free edge for strength and balance without adding bulk. We also focused on refining application and finishing techniques for cleaner, stronger, longer lasting results

I loved seeing everyone start to think differently about how they work with hard gel and how small changes can completely change the final result 💡

Such a positive group all day with lots of questions, learning and support throughout ✨

So proud of you all and can’t wait to see your work after putting today’s techniques into practice 🫶

9 weeks growth and a major rebalance + straighten 👀

Definitely not recommended, but my client came in today after 9 weeks and because her natural nails hook downwards, a major transformation was needed.

These photos are straight from the nail table while I was working. Nothing staged, nothing overly perfected, just real snapshots throughout the appointment.

You can clearly see the regrowth and the natural hook of her nails

These were taken literally after removing the bulk. As you can see, there is very little lifting after 9 weeks of wear 👏

Her index finger had the most lifting due to the pressure from the length and the nails becoming off balance over time.
You can also see a slight stress split on her pinky nail. This was caused by the leverage of the gel putting strain on her natural nail due to the curve of her nail and the length of time between appointments.

And just look at that curve 😮‍💨

After applying hard gel and correcting the hook of the nails. You can instantly see how much straighter and more balanced they are already. At this stage I still had some refining and a quick buff left to do.
