The lab smells divine this morning! A fresh herbaceous border of lavender and rosemary as my latest little batch of beautiful shampoo bars have rested overnight.

What a wonderful inspirational woman is Amy-Jane Beer?
Recent winner of the Wainwright prize for her gorgeous book The Flow, a champion of nature and our right to roam.
Last night I was fortunate to attend a Q&A with her, hosted by our Wildlife Friendly Otley group and what a fantastic evening it was.
Amy reminded us of the importance of reconnecting with nature, and the absolute power we have in our local spaces to make a difference, just to get out there, in our rivers, and in nature, and to keep and build those connections, to take action, to join your local groups.

I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Jenny from Wharfe Botanicals at our workshop last weekend. Jenny creates skincare products from all natural ingredients which smell absolutely beautiful. She has very kindly given me a couple of samples to try on my sensitive skin and I must say they are very gorgeous and my skin is loving them.

Swapping to natural skincare is something I am always recommending people to do as so many of the well known skincare companies out there are loading all sorts of nasty chemicals into their products and most of us are none the wiser of how they can cause our health to suffer. Allergies, sensitivities, hormone imbalances, liver toxicity and cancers have been linked to some of these chemicals and fragrances. 😞
